Parkview and a Pen

imageSaturday morning.
Rainy and solo.
It’s Parkview and a pen.
Pancakes and cappuccino.
Pleasantly humid from the rain.
Morning jazz music with the sound of muffled voices.
This is pretty cool for me.
I take this time to read, write and reflect.
It’s perfect!

Psalm 3:3
But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
My glory, the One who lifts my head high.

We are never alone. In crowds, in courtships, even in conversations we may feel alone. Drifted from the “noise” but trying to keep grounded. These are the very moments that we can identify with scripture. He is all around me like a shield. It feels perfect. This is the way it should be. I am protected in His presence and peace.

I have decided to get up, out and going. The days of venting must cease and the days of inventing begin for me. There is so much to do. Even when you find yourself alone. You get to appreciate more and the noise has diminished. Clarity is regained. Hope rises up. For no longer can we drown in despair.

Parkview is a scenic place. It’s small, cluttered crowd and great food. Greeted with a smile and the variety of people. This is a great place but what I love most is the view of the park right through this huge sliding window.

I get to see the greenery, the people walking the dogs and the couples strolling their kids. I lived that, had that, now this is new for me and I am found with a pen. This is the time I can impact and impart through this avenue. If I sat long enough I could trick myself into misery.

I will invent.
I will invest.
I will keep myself steady and ready for this new season ahead.

I can do all this, because He is surrounding me at all times. I feel that most. I know that to be true.

Don’t wallow in what could not be… You are surrounded by a God who cares for you, sees you and pushes you into your purpose. It is not time to sit and be still day after day. It is time to find yourself, reinvent and create new things. You are more than capable. You have somethings that only you can do uniquely.

Let’s get to it. If it is Parkview and a pen; a stroll in the park; or a strive to do more,  don’t waste it sitting back. God is surrounding you to get things DONE! He will be the one to push you all the way through!

Enjoy your day.

Enjoy yourself.

Most importantly, enjoy God!
