Even There You Would Guide Me…
Where is there?
Everywhere!
God Omnipresent…
There isn’t any place that you could go and God NOT be there!
That is impossible because He is present everywhere at the same time. We could actually get lost in this world, but it is THERE God will find us. Every single time.
Where can I go to get away from Your Spirit?
Where can I run from You?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there.
If I lie down in the grave, You are there.
If I rise with the sun in the east and settle in the west beyond the sea, even there You would guide me.
Psalm 139:7-10 (NCV)
It doesn’t matter where we go or what we have done, no matter the situation God will be there. The enemy is so quick to whisper the lies, “You are alone; You are not going to make it or God is not with you.” But that couldn’t be any farther from the truth. God is always going to be present with us, all we have to do is KNOW that. As the enemy is whispering his lies, God is roaring out His truth!
Maybe you have been through that down in the dumps type of situation. Maybe you find yourself lost. Maybe you do feel alone most of the day. Maybe you are single. Maybe you feel like you are running. Maybe you feel like you are drowning. Maybe you feel like you are suffocating. Maybe you feel like you are in a no-win situation. You could be in any place of your life and feel like there is pressure on every side.
But God is there.
You are not supposed to come to a point where you feel that God is everywhere. You have to come to a position where you KNOW that God is everywhere by learning the very nature of Him. We recognize this truth through His word even more.
I know that we can feel alone. I know we can all experience moments in our life where no one else is present. When we see no one there. Especially when we need it the most.
But God is there.
I love how the psalmist declares, no matter where I go…You will guide me. So even there in that difficult situation, He will guide you. When you are battling that addiction, even there He will guide you. When you are struggling to pay those bills, even there He will guide you. When you lost a dear person, even there He will guide you. When you have lost your job, even there He will guide you. When you get those test results back, even there He will guide you.
To guide is to assist through or to reach a destination; to accompany; to show; to force; to supply; to supervise or to direct. So God promises you through His word that He is going to be with you until you reach your destination. He is going to accompany you everywhere that you go. He is going to show you things that you need to know and make you more aware of your surroundings. He is going to supply your every need. He is going to direct your steps. Those are all guarantees through His word.
God is consistent!
God is not a human being and He will not lie.
He is not a human, and He does not change His mind.
What He says He will do, He does.
What He promises, He makes come true.
Numbers 23:19 (NCV)
He is never going to lie to you. He is going to make the best happen for you. When He makes a promise, He never breaks it. It shall come to pass. Our open door to that principle is by believing the Word of God and waiting on Him to make it happen just as He declares over your life.
You are not alone. You will never be put to a situation to handle independently. You have a Helper. He is near you. He is with you always. In the times that we find ourselves feeling alone, it is really just to know Him more.
“I will ask the Father,
and He will give you another Helper
to be with you forever”
John 14:16
God is not temporary. This is forever! In every place, in every situation, in every problem, in every promise and in every milestone moment of life, He will be there. He is even with us to take us through the darkest times. He will comfort and strengthen you. And through all the great times we have as well, God will be there. He will be smiling down upon you.
Isn’t that such a beautiful thing to know. Pray!
“I can find myself in any place of my walk in life and know…
God, EVEN THERE You will guide me.”
Amen and Amen!
