Blessings to all that are viewing this. My name is Christina Cruz-Mendez. I am a Senior Pastor at Mission United International Church in Yonkers, NY working along side my husband Juan A. Mendez Jr. Senior Pastor, currently residing in Canton, Georgia. We have been together for 29 years with 2 children that God has blessed us with. Makes us the family of four - "JusChrist4". I have been a Christian and active in ministry for about 22 years now. Through all the rocky and smooth roads in life I am eternally grateful that God has brought me this far in life to share with the world what He is doing in me, through me and for me.

The Best Shoes

img_1838There was a time that all I cared about was shoes. Shoes and shopping. A closet full of emptiness. It became packed with all the latest and the greatest. I would spend, spend and spend, spend. Leaving my soul to feel so spent!

All this upkeep to be this darling diva and all it did was cause me the darkest depression.
Im so glad it’s  no longer a phase or some overtime maze to keep jumping through hoops for some simple recognition.

Now it’s all about wearing the best 👠 shoes, those of peace. Those I wear them well and not about spending much but about being much. I didn’t need fancy shoes to keep a confidence, make me feel special, wanted, sexy or important. The shoes that I wear now I can wear all day long and no longer cause me pain.  These shoes bring me to my purpose in Him!!!! For every step I take in His peace brings me closer.

I can’t cater to confusion. I just won’t because I do know I am too authentic for that. I know my worth. I also know that this life is not my own. I’m the hangman after the one Man that has always been after all of my heart.

I also don’t live in regret. I live in Christ and Christ lives in me. That redemption I need 💯 and nothing less than that. I live in peace, just as He says abide in Me and I in you…. we remain in His love.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in My love.”
John 15:9

“and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Never Stop Praying

img_6201Sometimes discouragement, depression and despair try knocking on the door!

They come together in these three to apply force to get in strategically and effectively!

But the word of God reminds us:
“Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭GW‬‬

We can’t allow any of that in.
We can’t provide any entertainment for it.
We can’t even ask for it to come again some other day. Because any entertainment equals empowerment.

The door must be shut.
The pathway must be closed.
The guard must be vigilant. Always ready for the provisioning that it is going to take for us to KEEP focused!

We Follow One Course Until Successful.
However that be.
However we keep that.
We must stay remained in Him.
Rooted and grounded in Him.

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love,”
‭‭EPHESIANS‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We must not only be rooted in Christ but DEEPLY rooted! Beyond the surface, so that when discouragement, depression and despair try moving our way, our roots are so deep that we are completely secure and unaffected by it! That we are not moved by any of the negativity and doubt! We stand firm and secure, guarding our hearts!

We never stop praying because we trust that the only things knocking at our door are opportunities, hope and a purposeful future that is ahead for us. Those are the best things knocking at the door.

Bye bye discouragement, depression, despair, doubt and discontentment!

Hello to my blessings! ❤️

I Knew That

img_5602I knew that.
You wanted them to know but they did not. If and when they did, nor did it do anything. But to Me it meant everything.
So did you know that?
I saw that you cried so much that you had blood blisters. The vessels popped on your lovely face as it became swollen from the uncontrollable and frustrating tears.
I saw that. You had no sleep, no food and no gym life in you to do a thing.
I saw that. You had no friends around when you needed it the most.
You had no fellowship, no fun and no freedom.
You had nothing.
I knew that.

That was when I was able to do something when you were down to nothing.
Because you had so much in your life, in your hands and on your mind.
So in order for Me to work effectively in your life – yes you were stripped down to the bone! There I saw the stone. The stone that was created in your heart. From that I was able to move and begin as all were being chiseled away.
It hurt. I know that. And it still hurts you now. But that is because you made that more important than Me – that cannot be!
I am a jealous God. I want you for Me. No matter what and no matter who is around.

You asked “For how long?”
You asked “How long will I endure this pain?”
I will tell you again – until you learn how to live with Me. Until you know to abide in Me—for apart from Me, you can do nothing.
I want you to have everything. I want you to bear much fruit not pain—because of My great love for you. I can’t stand to see you this way. Please know that. Experience ME at work in your life.
Wear this well—because these are My loved letters to you. Already written. Already predestined for your victory.

I knew that and now I need you to know this. ❤

The Word:
Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness

Ezekiel 36:26
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Exodus20:3
“You shall have no other gods before me.”

John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Loved Letters

img_5533Today we sat us four so beautifully, happily and peacefully. We read, wrote, ate, drank, laughed and were merry!  Not the kind drunk on wine but the kind drunk in peace. Peace in His presence.

We bought four cups and we toasted them up in the air as an opening to a ministry of bible journaling.  This is a group. This will grow. But most importantly… each of us individually contributing to the blank pages of what we can create will flourish!

Maybe we all needed a little excitement.

As they got the late breakfast, I still pondered on the LOVED. Continue reading
