It Has Been an AMAZING Year!

Cheers to the New Year ahead! It has been such an amazing year for us closing up 2021. It has been our first full year with all “four” seasons in the peach state of Georgia. Bittersweet to leave behind our loved ones but we really soak in the time that we have when we are together.

Being here has been a wonderful first year from moving into this empty home to making it our own. Every time I had an opportunity, I took the time to pick something else up and we have created a peaceful oasis. That is how home should be. An environment to wake up grateful everyday and learn how to be governed more by a sincere and reach gratitude.

From hearing the birds chirp to the flat paved roads and southern hospitality here. I am so grateful for these past 12 months and looking to the many more great ones ahead in 2022 and beyond!

I hope that you all enjoyed your year just like we have. Of course we had many challenges as Jonathan C says “not everything is peaches n cream!” but here we are in a place where we can take in a slower pace and not be rushed to the bone minute by minute like the way we have lived in the city. Being in a different place has changed us indeed. We are at peace. We are taking things at a more controlled pace. We are receiving the things God had stored up for us. We are enjoying each other.

It could look like we forgot about a lot of things but not quite so. What we did was hyper focus our now and maximize on where God has placed us to flourish. For not only did we find our home but we made our home church here by following the road of grace! How amazing to connect with the One that would lead us to the one that would provide us the space. God is good. He is our REFUGE! Thank You Jesus.

The prayer is this — that you would excel in all that you do. Look at all the good things you have accomplished this year with God on your side. Look at what God is doing to always set you up for success. He answers prayer. Now lets take further action in 2022 and keep to what is ours!

I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

Wins and Losses

This week at work I had some wins and losses. That’s just past of how it will go, but if you keep persistent and consistent there will be more WINS than the losses.

I was kicking myself because I overlooked a very important email that required a status update to our entire department!!! Even the VP on the call… and guess what?

Didn’t have my slide in the deck!!! But I gave a brief update anyway. I was so upset! I hate to miss things that are required of me.

Here is what I did…

Quickly chatted with my boss on the matter. Went back to the original request and saw the detail that I missed— in other words I owned my oversight of this task!! I still provided a brief update anyway on the fly. I reached out to the organizer to apologize for my oversight. Began preparing the slide asap to add anyway and be ready for next months look-back.

Moving forward throughout the week, a win for me was supporting my team on other tasks, stepping in and up where required and offering to help others learn some stuff. This way we all are effective. We can all collaborate.

I reached out to a colleague that needed a checkin!

Went into the office twice this week to get stuff done and connect with workers on site.

I helped to draft the October newsletter for my Business Resource Group called “Inspire”. It was released just in time today. I also shared it with my team. They loved it. ♥️😊

The point of all this?

Focus towards going after more wins. The losses are important too because we LEARN from them and we learn how to do better. We don’t stay stuck in a loss. We move towards creating more wins. It takes grit! Intentionality! Persistence! Protectiveness!

This is what we do with wins and losses! We keep learning and relearning and producing better results!

I am upset by the loss. But I didn’t let this one thing push me back. In fact— it pushes me forward for what’s next. A mindset for growth and to obtain greater! That’s what the desired result is.

Better!!! Wins!!!

You can do it! Every day is just another opportunity, so pick your head up out of the loss, learn from it and prepare now to do better.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17

Challenge Accepted Part 2

So I must say — I have been a bit inundated for the month of August with work stuff –but good stuff. All a big learning season and a learning curve.

I am building, working, planning, strategizing, configuring, testing and training! What have I learned? When they say, “This can’t be done?” I say, “Challenge Accepted!”

What else can be done besides all the “No’s” of life.

We keep hearing all the worst case scenarios and think — “this is it!” New approaches and technology can sometimes be daunting.

Why not change that mindset to think — “this is THAT!”

This is that thing that will push you forward and catapult you to come up with another way of doing something. This will provoke thought, reason and innovation. This will actually get the job done, just in a different way. We have to THINK! This isn’t it! This isn’t over. This is THAT thing that makes you seek the very next best.

You have it in you to do more, be more, say more and give more. You can make the biggest contribution and significance when it comes to problem solving. You can make your mark by doing the most and by doing that with others. Team efforts make for the best output.

So please — stand with me and tell your situation, “Challenge Accepted!”

It’s not over.
It’s not done with.
It’s not a bad report.
It’s not the end.
It’s not the worst.

This is THAT which will push me to find the best way that works for us all –but most importantly what settles me to draw out what has been buried in me all along. Talent! Ideas! Inspiration in manifestation!

So the challenges in life, work, school, family or whatever you find yourself in now ought to be an inspiration for you. It is only an opportunity for you to experience greatness. Challenges should inspire us. There is a way.

The solution has always been there — YOU! ARE! THE! SOLUTION!

Did you know that?

And it begins with having that inner grit. That resilient spirit. A tenacious soul. A go-getter attitude. A right mindset and growth perspective. It is having a willing heart. Remember — mediocrity says, “I am doing the best that I can.” But legendary says, “I can do better.”

So let the challenges –allow you to give the most so that you can experience results that can be transformative! The struggle is where you learn. The issue is where you blossom. The blessing is in the lesson. The thing that you think you can’t manage — YES YOU CAN! You can do anything and you can be anything that you set your mind to accomplish. Anything that you are consistent with will yield results.

“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

News you hear today is only a perception that you need for a greater tomorrow. It is never the worst. It is never over. There is always a way. Life can’t bring you down, no matter what they say or what you hear.

I’m Vaccinated

So I’m not gonna lie — but day 1 is awful!!! My arm feels like a rock; my bones are achy, I felt nauseous and feverish. I really chickened out first time round when I was supposed to take this last month and I didn’t. Now I did and WOW! I went for the J&J #OneAndDone. But I get why the inner me said “NO!” There are so many concerns on what to get and what not to get. Reason being –if you hadn’t had any symptoms by now you may think, “Why should I even get it now?” And why put yourself through this anyway.

The choice is YOURS to make.

As for me, the fact that we are going out more and traveling; with coworkers, family or friends, I just would rather increase my chances of NOT getting infected with Covid. It’s added precaution for me and those I come in contact with.

Medicine in the bible is good:  Isaiah had said to Hezekiah’s servants, “Make an ointment from figs and spread it over the boil, and Hezekiah will recover.” Isaiah 38:21

If we have the resources yes with Prayer always being first, we can trust that its okay to use that. I had to take a 800 Milligram Ibuprofen as well. Thank God. Because I feel better already. Able to eat my portion of rice, a little soup and lots of water. Just sharing my experience because I had horrible symptoms last March of 2020 when Covid-19 struck the globe. All my doctor could tell me is, “You probably have it and so do I! Your young, go home and rest this off!”

This sickness ravaged the world. Lives were changed. Habits reinforced of social distancing and keeping clean. Masks and hand sanitizer everywhere we go. What a difference this was and the toll it took. Whatever we can do to reach a place of normalcy, let’s strive for that.

I can tell you this. Today I am an ambassador for wellness. A champion for the vaccination, when so many will refuse it. We need this to all go away because its not just Covid-19. Sickness comes in all forms and types. We need to be protected and follow the best safety mechanisms using wisdom. We pray yes! But we also comply and be the change that leans toward safety.

That’s just my take. Praying this through with you too. We are all in this together.

With Love,

Christina
