Blessings to all that are viewing this. My name is Christina Cruz-Mendez. I am a Senior Pastor at Mission United International Church in Yonkers, NY working along side my husband Juan A. Mendez Jr. Senior Pastor, currently residing in Canton, Georgia. We have been together for 29 years with 2 children that God has blessed us with. Makes us the family of four - "JusChrist4". I have been a Christian and active in ministry for about 22 years now. Through all the rocky and smooth roads in life I am eternally grateful that God has brought me this far in life to share with the world what He is doing in me, through me and for me.

Exploding Mind

imageWhat does it mean to have an exploding mind? To explode is to expand with some force, so as it relates to the mind it is thinking outside of the box thinking and beyond limitations.  We take every thought into captivity. Do we have power over our own thoughts? Well if no one else could control them or help you then that must mean that only YOU could do that.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
II Corinthians 10:4-6 NKJV

Every THOUGHT into captivity!

Capture the rebellious thoughts!

There’s a Trail

imageToday I went outside and see there is a park when you leave the back entrance. It is like a dead end road but if you go down the steps you see –There’s a Trail! And a beautiful one at that. This is going to make for some great walking during lunch times. As the days get warmer and nicer outside this is going to make a great opportunity to get more exercise and allow me to keep moving! I don’t have to stay stuck in one place.

You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.
2 Samuel 22:37

Many times we think there is no way out. Or that we take the wrong way. There are detours too that take us off an already long journey. My prayer is simply this, “Lord, please ensure that I remain on the path that you have already designated for me. Help me so that I don’t try to take the shortcuts in life or the next exit off. I don’t want to prolong the LONG journey anymore!” Continue reading

Parched Places

imageMaybe it’s just another hurdle.
Another obstacle.
Another place right.
Those parched places. Why can’t we just escape?

I’m sure Jeremiah asked that question plenty of times. The weeping prophet had so much to say. He never held it back.
You’ve got to love Jeremiah, for there is one in us all. One that is more than familiar with those parched places.

Thus says the LORD:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:5-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Continue reading

JusChrist4 – One Year Later

imageHola! Greetings to all as I write. I am so excited to share that this page has been active for 365 days! God is good. I celebrate what God is doing through this gift of writing and for all others that have a call to WRITE upon their life as well.

It is not easy. You face many challenges, fears and constant reservations. Such as,

“Is my writing any different?”

“Does this make a difference?”

“Is there too much redundancy?”

“Is this new and not something someone else already wrote?”

“Is anyone even going to take the time to read this?!”

Well, YES they are! I have received countless feedback of readers and people that I know to find these words encouraging, uplifting and inspirational! I have heard that the words came at the right time. I have heard that God used this as a platform to confirm things in the lives of others. I have heard others say they look forward to the next. And many other family and friends tell me,

“Just Write!”

“Keep writing!”

“Don’t stop!” Continue reading
