An Infinite Number

imageThere is a serious case in the Bible where the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him, “How many times shall I forgive my brother?” And Jesus said to him, “Up to 70×7!” I translate this in so many ways but what I understand repeatedly is an infinite number.
“Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:21-22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
You see a lot of times are always asking God the same exact questions over and over again, especially when we don’t see results happening in our lives. So the same way the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him how many times, is the same way we actually go to God and ask Him the same thing too. This becomes an infinite type of situation.

Faith-Filled February

imageWelcome to February. We made it through the first month of the year, we survived the cold, the storm and the busyness. As they say in Spanish, “Hay Mas!” Which means, “There is more!” And I am in so much expectancy. This is going to be a FANTASTIC month! ❤ Continue reading

Slippery Slopes and Dangerous Ditches

imageNew York City got sacked with snow for the first blizzard of 2016. I know many other areas got hit bad as well. We suffer, especially in our neighborhood because the plow takes longer to pass through our streets. In our part of town it is also primarily hills. This makes for some serious hazardous conditions when the weather takes its toll. Blizzards, icy conditions or rain storms bring havoc to our small town. It is horrible. The streets are covered with the remains of snow, deeply impacting everyone’s commute. Driving in to work, I have to consider the best roads to take. There is a lot of planning to pass through the best detours to avoid further delays.

Sure enough, as I took the first detour to bypass a huge downward hill—clearly you can see a huge truck, flashing lights and another car that took out the top of the hill. It was certainly a bad slippery slope and a dangerous ditch that drivers must avoid. We have to ensure at all costs that we always avoid the most dangerous things, as it impacts our health, mental state and even our souls. Continue reading

False Dreams

imageDo not let false dreams that creep up try to get the best of you, when God has got this.

This is what the Lord says—
Your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
Who teaches you what is best for you,
Who directs you in the way you should go.”
Isaiah 48:17

They are false—not true or correct; erroneous; uttering or declaring what is untrue; not faithful or loyal; treacherous; tending to deceive or mislead; deceptive; not genuine; counterfeit; based on mistaken, erroneous, or inconsistent impressions, ideas or facts; used as a substitute or supplement, especially temporarily.

This is all a trap to try and hinder the truth of God’s promises.

What has been presented to you lately as false? Continue reading
