Why do we allow things, people and situations to quickly rob us from our peace? We allow this to rob our joy. We allow this to rob our love. We allow it to take us off track. We allow these things to affect our minds in such a way that it impacts our entire being. But we have to come to a place where no matter what things are happening around us, that it won’t take away the radiance that God gives to us. Let us keep storing up in the right places good things! Steal No More
Reminders Along The Way
I am not sure how many actual reminders that we really need but I guess enough until we get that it is an all-powerful God that is sending them all.
You have been Christians a long time, now and you ought to be teaching others, but instead you have dropped back to the place where you need someone to teach you all over again the very principles in God’s Word. You are like babies who can drink only milk, not old enough for solid food. ~Hebrews 5:12 (TLB)
We have these moments where we drop back to the place where we need someone to show us all over again. How many times do we drop back? How many reminders do we need? How many prayer meetings or bible studies? How many signals and confirmations are we seeking? Anything more than twice pretty much seals the deal [Genesis 41:32]. Yet God will constantly send as many reminders along the way–not in some bad way–but just enough to let us know that He is with us for every step that we make towards our wholeness. Continue reading
Memory Bank
Forgetting is the hardest part when you have already let go. Somewhere in the mind, there is a record kept. It pops up every so often. We have this memory bank that is alive and well. There are pros and cons with having this as part of our being.
We need to hold onto good things, retain moments, history, memories, knowledge and more. What about when the memories are unpleasant. Memories that you would like to delete completely. Or if they were pleasant yet you had to move forward by letting go. Continue reading
God’s Collage
I am really beginning to love Long Island. Beautiful ocean, white sand, gentle breeze, sound of the shore, open space, different shells and stones. I scoop down and begin collecting them because I know when I put them together they are going to look beautiful … For they are all different in their own way, maybe some similar, some cracked, some not, some transparent, some with colors, some dark, some large, some tiny, some ragged but all together they make a beautiful collection of art.
Just like us. I think we are very much the same way actually. This Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror of the glory of the Lord, are been transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Now the word of God tells us that we are all going to be transformed into the same image and not only that but that it is going to be glorious. Right now we all contain our own level of glory that God has given to us because He is IN US. He tells us that when we are all transformed we actually become one and that makes us go from glory to glory. Continue reading
