The Raging Sea

As small as it looks, things ahead of me are going to be fascinating.

It may not look like it now.

May not feel like it.

But it’s going to happen.

Good days.

Pure bliss.

Joy everlasting.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
Isaiah 61:1-4 NIV

This is very meaningful.

A delight to know.

I wont forget this Word.

Even when I don’t see it.

When adversity strikes and shakes the soul.

Jesus will bring me to a complete calmness,

Just as He did to calm the raging sea.

We all are surrounded by it at one point or another.

He will bring it to a complete calmness.

A total victory already won.

Not Knowing Place

I’m anxious.

I’m worried.

I’m concerned.

I’m stressed.

I’m even afraid.

As we step out into the unknown I have to really trust God with all that I am.

Because all else is just a “not knowing” stage. Not so cool. So many questions, concerns and even confusion starts to make its way in.

Just as I read aloud:

The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

Exodus 3:7-8

God’s desire is always to bring us to a better place.

We don’t get to that place when we choose other things. We get there by following His direction as long as it takes.

He is concerned.

He is aware.

Ultimately He is in control.

We lift up our hands in praise as a sign of surrender to His will.

This is not my problem to solve but Yours to solve.

“How changed our lives would be if we could only fly through the days on wings of surrender and trust!” Hannah Whitall Smith

So I am just waiting, wondering and wishful.

God take the wheel. Drive. Lead. Guide. Propel.

I am trying to provoke you with my faith, even if the mustard seed type moved a mountain. I know you can do even more.

Not knowing is where I stand.

All knowing is who You are.

I trust You got the rest, especially what lies within.

With love,

Christina
