“Praise be to the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of ALL comfort, who comforts us in ALL our troubles so that WE can comfort those in ANY trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ OUR comfort overflows.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Covering things up never healed anybody, but the exposure did. We have heard before, “You cannot heal what you conceal”. There goes the story of King David when he fell with Bathsheba. The story of the Samaritan Woman at the Well who had no husband for her own. Or how about the Woman that was hemorrhaging for 12 years! If any of these stories would have been concealed there would have never been any healing. David would have never had an heir to the kingdom appointed by God. Yes, because it was the next son of Bathsheba, Solomon that was chosen to be king. God did not select any of the other children that he had with his other wives but used the son of the wife that David had fallen with. The woman at the well would have never saved an entire village. For when she had an encounter with the Son of Man she ran and told all that she met the Messiah! The woman with the issue of blood would have never received her healing. If she would have continued to stay away from everyone eventually she would have bled to death!
So no matter what the issue is, whatever the pain is, whatever the trouble is – try sharing it to the One who is our Healer and Comforter and then watch Him guide us to the ones who are also searching for a miracle. If we found the way then we could easily tell others how to get to this way as well. If I keep using Band-Aids over my situation there will never be a true experience of wholeness. When you use Band-Aids it keeps the wound covered and moist, never allowing for the natural air to dry this up and place a stronger covering over the wound. That covering that we need happens when we expose the wound. Then the healing power of God will cover us. No matter how ugly the scars are or how deep the wound, when are set free from His saving grace that wound then becomes a TESTIMONY to help others.
