She was so beautiful. She was sexy. She was passionate. She was exciting. She was so trendy and fashionable. She was popular. She was successful. She was talented. She would work all through her days. She was wild. She was crazy. She loved to party and have a good time. She could have any man. She had no rules, no restrictions and no limits. No one could tell her anything…because she was just unstoppable in all her ways. She wanted to hide the pain. Only one thing she didn’t realize.
She was perishing!
Sometimes she is missed. The old self. The one that was dying. But God knew what He was doing when He saved her. So she came to her senses and realized that too. Thank God He saved her!
“In that while we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly.”
Romans 5:6
No matter what boat we find ourselves in, there will always come the day that we cry out, “LORD SAVE US!” Just as the disciples did. But for us, we find ourselves in a boat that we uniquely created. Beautifully stationed for us. To carry us through–OUR WAY! We drive! We go! We move! According to how we feel is best for us. Just living from moment to moment.
Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Matthew 8:23-27
You think this is what God desires for us? A stormy and crazy life? A big mess with no restrictions? No saving for us…and headed towards death row? Not quite! God is our Savior! He came to save and deliver us. Whatever road we take, God is already in it waiting for us to come to our senses and call out to Him! It is so funny how we think we have it all together. Eventually the cares of this world will have its weight and price. The excitement ceases and reality bites. Make way for the crash and burn.
WAIT! There is still time!
For you to call out to Jesus! Ask Him to save you and He will. You can invite Him in your heart. He has always been following you throughout your journey. He can see you. He is resting and waiting for you. When you cry out–there He will ALWAYS be! Rest assured, that is the God that we serve. He is our hero! He is the One to pull us out of the water when we are drowning. He is the One to calm the storm. He is the One to begin that change in us. He is the One to remove the habit. He is the One to die down the addiction. He is the One that will make you beautiful inside. He is the one that will be your husband. He is the One that will give you good success in all that you do.
Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua 1:6-8
Whatever boat you are in. Whatever road you decide to take. Whatever journey you wish to walk, find the one that brings you good success. For all the things of the world will never give you an everlasting joy and freedom the way the choices do with God. He doesn’t want you to perish. He doesn’t want you to drown. He doesn’t want you to lose control. He doesn’t want you to hurt anymore…
What God Wants!
God wants you to have a good life. He wants you to trust in Him. He wants you to depend on Him as your source that never runs dry. He wants you to give Him access to every area in your life.
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-21
You don’t have to perish… you can have a good life! Cry out and He WILL save you from perishing! ❤
