A Light to My Path

image“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105

When I consider where I was a year ago from today, my entire soul does rejoice! It is not merely that I have proven to man but that I have connected with God so that He would lead me in the way that is everlasting–and that I would ACCEPT!

A year ago I was selfish. A year ago I only thought about my ways. A year ago I wanted to pursue everything that I thought was best for me despite what God ordained for me. A year ago I was heavily deceived and confused with my own calling of God and what He wanted for me as a woman. A year ago I was bound and now I am free.

Now I know. The only path I needed to take was the one of righteousness and He would lead me to it. I desperately needed to recognize and accept just that.

Now my whole world has changed and I will follow after God all of my days. My soul does rejoice indeed!

“I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
Isaiah 61:10

God has adorned [to decorate or add beauty tome now. Just like a bride is adorned with jewelry on her special day. Every day I am adorned with His love, His grace and His mercy! He took His righteousness and gave it to me too! Yes my soul does rejoice because of this!

“Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in His salvation.”
Psalm 35:9

God is leading me down a road to goodness and wholeness. I am excited to see what He has in store for me and for His people. I keep going. I keep following. I keep doing. I keep seeking. I keep praying. I keep reading. I keep writing. I keep sharing. I keep giving and I keep believing.

For before I abandoned all for self and now I abandon all for Him. A new focus He has shown me and this I will strive for.

  • Faith
  • Family
  • Fellowship

This is a path of faith.

“Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.”
~Psalm 119:35

“You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.”
~Psalm 139:3

“My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths.”
~Proverbs 1:15

“This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life.’”
~Romans 1:17

This is a path of family.

“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.”
~Ephesians 2:19

“Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”
~Galatians 6:10

“And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
~Ephesians 5:21

This is a path of fellowship.

“imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.”
~2 Corinthians 8:4

“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
~Hebrews 10:25

“that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,”
~Colossians 2:2

In light of this path I have learned the importance to keep my faith firm in God. To have my family as a priority. And to understand the importance of fellowship for my continual growth. God will guide me in all that I do moving forward and will guide you too when you surrender a contrite heart over to Him. The road may seem rough at times but determine to follow the light that will carry you through even the darkest places. That light will never go out.

He is the light to my path.

He is the light to your path.

He is the light of the WORLD.
