The VIP

Do you know how awesome it is to be a VIP or have VIP privileges? This is a great feeling! This means you are first for almost everything.

This automatically puts you in an elite status. This makes you a Very Important Person. This gives you exclusive access that others don’t have. Entrance, special permission and rights to a place or thing.

Wikipedia states, “A very important person (VIP) is a person who is accorded special privileges due to his or her status or importance. Examples include celebrities, heads of state or heads of government, other politicians, major employers, high rollers, high-level corporate officers, wealthy individuals, or any other notable person who receives special treatment for any reason. The special treatment usually involves separation from common people, and a higher level of comfort or service. In some cases such as with tickets, VIP may be used as a title in a similar way to premium. These “VIP tickets” can be purchased by anyone, but still meaning separation from other customers, own security checks etc.

This is exactly what I experienced today in attendance at a conference at Faith Church in New Milford Connecticut.  I purchased my regular ticket online and went with three other guests. One of them had the same online ticket as me but the other two knew the host of the conference and got 2 VIP tags immediately placed on their wrists.  And they were noticeable in a bright pink! I looked at my friend (one of the VIPs) and said, “WOW, this means we are not going to be able to sit together!” Oh my God, just bless her heart because she frowned and said, “Awe man this is horrible!” I was laughing out loud.

I said, “Yep, this means you guys will be up front, we won’t be sitting together because me and the other sister with me are not VIP!”

There went the pout again! She was clearly upset!

So we parted and went inside –me and the other non-VIP attendee and went to the far back in the left. There was a lot of space there. Completely empty and good for us to move around. I said to my friend, “This is good, we will be fine here!” After about one song I see my VIP friends walk in and we wave at them. She waves back at us but to join her! In my mind I am thinking, “ARE YOU CRAZY?! What in the world is she up to? We are not VIP attendees! We are going to get in trouble!” She is violently and persistently waving for us and we go… Sure enough the usher stops us and my VIP friend frowns again and the separation…part two! So me and my non VIP friend walk back—I said, “I TOLD YA!” Just in the very next minute the USHER is now waving us back!!!!

Literally I am laughing out loud (me and my non VIP friend) like, “What in the world is going on here?” The usher leads us to two seats next to our VIP friends and smiles, “Sit here!” My VIP friends were SUPER HAPPY! I am still laughing out loud! God is good and humorous too! I love Him! Because I instantly thought this is definitely going to be my next blog! VIP! Here we are with NO labels or indicators that we are VIP yet we ARE VIP!!! I don’t even know how we became VIP actually.  I felt like I was in huge violation of the church protocols and in disobedience by sitting there. But the usher safely sat us there and gave us her acknowledgement!

NO EXTRA FOR IT!

NO NOTHING!

JUST LIKE THAT….

Isn’t that how God is with us?

To God—we will ALWAYS be a very important person! We may not think it, we may not feel it, we may not see it…but to GOD wow…He GIVES it! He looks at us and has given us HIS VIP rights just by sending His Son as a ransom for us [Mark 10:45]! Isn’t that good news?

He places His ROYALTY ON US! He gives us this easy access and gateway into heaven! It is a win-win situation with God now. We have the best seats—front row to the cross! We have the best attire –a robe of His righteousness. We have the best benefits – a lifetime pension in the Kingdom of Heaven. We have the best access- right into the very presence of God through our prayer.  We have the best look now—because He took all our sins and made us WHITE like snow!

Now isn’t that the BEST VIP plan ever!!! God sees you as a VERY IMPORTANT PERSON since BIRTH! You were not a mistake! You did not mess up bad enough! You are not a loser! You are not worthless! YOU ARE ROYALTY TO GOD AND HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING! EVEN MORE THAN HIS SON FOR HE SENT HIS SON FOR US—in John 3:16… Would you give up your only child for the world?

Well He did it for us!

“For God so loved the world (so much) that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

So stop telling yourself you’re a mistake! Stop telling yourself you’re a mess! Stop telling yourself you’re no good for anything! And stop allowing OTHERS to tell you that too!

You are EVERYTHING to Him!

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he!”
Proverbs 23:7

You become just what you think! So if you think the worst about you –that is what you will become.  And why think all that when God thinks so HIGHLY of His child! You are His child!!!

For the bible tells us in Psalm 8:4-5, “What is man that You are so mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR!”

So you see here, God has crowned you. Because He is in love with you. When you are in love—no matter what you do, you cannot take the thoughts of that person out your mind… and so it is with God – HE IS FOREVER in love with us. He is always thinking about you and me. You see why you are a VERY important person to Him.

So now—let us get in alignment with His Word and what HE thinks of us. Stop aligning yourself with other people’s perception of you. Stop aligning yourself with past mistakes. Stop aligning yourself with fear and doubt. Stop aligning yourself in disappointment and failure. Get in agreement with God. Get in agreement with His view of you. Get in alignment with His plan and purpose for you [Jeremiah 29:11]. He gave you a VIP status and NO you didn’t have to do anything for it!

All you have to do… is BELIEVE.
