This is a true story on the power of redemption! This is an eternal blessing, for what looks to the world as the bad boy or the bad girl…when they come to Christ they are BLESSED! The bad is gone. The bad is erased. The past is no longer relevant. For what God has done canceled out anything we could have done as ‘bad’.
I love to be a part of the generation that is crying out! A part of a generation where others have labeled them as BAD, MISFITS, TROUBLEMAKERS, SINNERS, TRASH, and any other name we have been called! What God calls us is DIFFERENT…so we don’t go by the names of people. We go by what God calls us.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…
1 Peter 2:9
How powerful that God is… in that He places His royalty over us! So we may not be special in the eyes of man, but in the eyes of God–we are HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE. We are His chosen generation. We are a royal priesthood. And for God we are a holy nation that walk in Christ. We are forever free.
I love seeing the hungry hearts experience such encounters with Jesus. In our church you will see sneakers, graffiti t-shirts, jeans, primarily tatted folks, piercings, single mommies, broken daddies, widows, those abused, those in recovery…yes you WILL see all that. Because Christ died for all of that. There is no fancy formula or particular look. There is nothing you have to do to earn your way to Christ–it is called GRACE, love and redemption. You just need to believe AND receive it.
You see a look sometimes can be permanent. There is nothing you can do to change all that on the external. However, the internal is what changes the most when they come to Christ. Their hearts are turned, their minds are renewed, their purpose is restored and their lives are rebuilt! That is what Christ does!

You become a new creation according to His word. Everything passes away and all things now become NEW. It is a whole new life to live–different–transformed–redeemed. So what you judge on the outer is not what God does in the inner part.
Your desire is for what is true in the inner parts:
In the secrets of my soul you will give me knowledge of wisdom.

The inner soul is what surrenders all to God. Once that is done–then you have that purpose driven life. You discover what you are truly here for. You begin to move through life with a whole new concept. As you are changing, you impact others and the ripple effect starts to ignite a chosen generation!
That is our mission. We preach Christ crucified. We attract a multi-cultural body of individuals. We engage and support our community. We ignite others through radical worship, fellowship and works. We do this because we know the power of what He has done for us. We celebrate on Sundays when we gather. We teach the body and hungry hearts on Tuesday. We come together for prayer and intercession on Friday. The rest of the days–we stay connected and filled with the Spirit of God that is dwelling in us.
We don’t do things like normal… All the glory belongs to Him. That is our anthem. So immediately upon seeing ‘a church’ you may think it is filled with bad boys and girls–but for the glory of our King, they all stand as NEW CREATURES through Him! Now they read, they preach, they pray fervently, they jump, they shout out to God and they aren’t ashamed to show the world what God did IN them.
Oh what a blessing that is.
Let the praises continue to our Father.
