Finishing Touches

I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put his finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Philippians 1:6 TPT

There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
Philippians 1:6 MSG

What you think you should do — DO IT! Go with the inner promptings as God leads you to do great and mighty things. Don’t wait. Don’t delay. Don’t sit back and do nothing but step out with abundant faith. Even if you don’t see all the pieces in place — as the word shows us above in The Passion Translation, He will put His finishing touches to those things. What a beautiful promise.

Many times we get stuck in our own heads. We get stuck with what we see now. We get stuck with inconsistencies and limitations that we see in the natural. But we have to go beyond that realm and trust that God is the one that can do those things we cannot do or see. He leads us right to it. We just have to respond. We cant sit and not respond. We MUST respond.

Yesterday during a prayer meet with my GA sisters, the Lord quickened me to go to Daniel Chapter 3…. in this particular passage, a decree went out to bow down to a gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar created. However, these three young men REFUSED to do anything that would be contrary to the God we serve. They even told the king to his face in front of all his staff –how humiliating that must have been.

But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego—who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.” Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king, and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up? Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Daniel 3:12-18 NIV

What impresses me the most about this passage is that the blazing furnace was never a threat to them. They turned it up 7 times up and rather then sit in fear their faith was turned up 7 times! Parallel to that blazing furnace was their blazing FAITH!

This is the EVEN IF MOMENT — that means that even if you don’t see a way or how everything is going to work out for you. Even if there is a pandemic. Even if you don’t have all the resources in place.
Even if you don’t have the job yet.
Even if you don’t have the spouse yet.
Even if you don’t have the vehicle yet.
Even if you don’t have the home yet.
Even if you don’t have the ministry yet.

I will still serve God — I will not bow down to doubt, lies, fear, failure, disarray, sin, chaos or whatever it is that tries to get in my way. Even if all else fails and even if God doesn’t do it yet… we will not back down or bow down. We trust God and we will worship our God. He is setting things up for us and WILL bring it to a flourishing finish. His finishing touches seal the deal for us.

Stay FAITH-FILLED. Step out in faith like the way that these men did even in a trying season like we are experiencing today. Things can still happen BIG for you and I. I am excited. I am grateful and thankful to be a part of a season that is loaded with miracles. 🙂

With love & grace,

Christina
