Michael Myers

imageThis one has definitely got to be called,
“Killing Michael Myers.”

In the late 1970s there was a film series that began called, “Halloween.” In these horror films, there was a primary antagonist by the name of Michael Myers who was extremely psychotic and resulted to massive violence. There were numerous killings in the event to seek out revenge on his sister based on situations that took place in their childhood.

The thing is that Michael Myers kept coming back to life! Thus, all the sequels. No matter how many times they tried to kill him, shoot him, hit him, pierce him or run for escape he would always resurrect somehow or someway! Their fighting and defense just wasn’t enough to take out this beast of a man with a vengeance. Always trying to come to the surface. Continue reading

Snoozing Saints

imageThe alarm goes off everyday. It is a new opportunity for us. We rise and we move to do what we have to each day. Most days—we want to sleep a little longer. Stay in our comfy zones, under the blanket…no rules and no regulations. We begin to hate the sound of the alarm. Our flesh begins to hate the work that we must do. It annoys our souls—but we have to work. Then we hit the snooze….sometimes once, twice, three times or for maybe even an hour strong.

Many of us are sleeping on our callings and the true work that we have to do for the kingdom! Continue reading

An Infinite Number

imageThere is a serious case in the Bible where the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him, “How many times shall I forgive my brother?” And Jesus said to him, “Up to 70×7!” I translate this in so many ways but what I understand repeatedly is an infinite number.
“Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:21-22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
You see a lot of times are always asking God the same exact questions over and over again, especially when we don’t see results happening in our lives. So the same way the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him how many times, is the same way we actually go to God and ask Him the same thing too. This becomes an infinite type of situation.

Against All Hope

imageAgainst all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Romans 4:18-22
