Learn To Discern

“You can encounter your weakness by surrounding yourself with people stronger in your area of weakness. You are as strong as the strength of your association.  Therefore be strategic in associating.”  #lifelessons #selfleadership #yourinnercircle
~Apostle Femi Adun, Eagle World Outreach

I love this quote by my mentor and spiritual father Apostle Femi Adun.  Right association is essential in your growth especially when you are on a kingdom assignment.

T.D. Jakes quoted, “Don’t go after a broken bird and then why when it wont fly!”

We have to learn to discern how important it is for us to know our inner circle and that place just simply is not for everyone.  I also have a small circle –at home–at life–at work–at church.  This is a small circle.  But the circle I have are prayed for folks.  I often prayed to God to give me godly associations to help me along the way.

There is power behind your associations.  You can reveal your nakedness before them and not feel like you have to leave something covered.  This is called authentic relationships… covenant partnership! This is critical for us to get closer to the place God is calling us.

Just as David needed a Jonathan. Peter need a John.  Paul needed a Silas.

We all need relationships! GOOD ones at that.

Do not be misled. Bad company corrupts good character.
1 Corinthians 15:33

Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.
2 Kings 2:2

When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.
Job 2:11

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Proverbs 18:24

I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts.
Psalm 119:63

This is why it is so important to have the right association.  May we learn to discern those key characteristics within others.  Those are the ones that you can celebrate with!

Happy Holidays all.

With Love,
Christina

The WOW Woman

imageI had brought this message on a Friday night opening at a women’s retreat in Orlando Florida. It was called, “Activating the Queen in you.” I taught about the story of Queen of Sheba taken from the book of 1 Kings chapter 10 coupled with a book titled, “It’s Good To Be Queen” by Liz Curtis Higgs.

Powerful message. So well received.

She is above and beyond the norm. She is activated! She is a queen indeed, worthy of her royal calling.

This was about a “WOW” woman.

These are her outstanding characteristics:

🔹A-arise (a woman that could rise above her situation)
🔹C-courageous (a woman that is bold, strong and fierce)
🔹T-transparent (a woman that walks in transparency and truth)
🔹I-impressive (a woman that was beyond impressive…. Like WOW)
🔹V-valor (a true woman of virtue, power and nobility)
🔹A-action (a woman that could work, fight, move and be effective)
🔹T-transformational (a woman that is also transforming, thoroughly changing for good)
🔹E-example (a woman that could be an example all the way from start to finish) Continue reading

Fasting Fury

imageHow furious this world is demonstrating unrestrained or violent anger, rage, passion, or the like; violence; vehemence; fierceness and wrath are plundering through the nations.

In a time of our fasting – this is certainly a great petition to put forth in our prayer time regarding the fury nations, places and people. Why has all this come upon us now, for we even fight for our faith? As each Christian stood up they were shot by a young man filled with unrestrained violence and hate toward a people of faith in the state of Oregon.

Yet another mass shooting has occurred, while many are traumatized by the effects of all this violence. How sad, how somber and what an eye-opener for us all to continue to stand in our faith and prayers!  Continue reading

A Light to My Path

image“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105

When I consider where I was a year ago from today, my entire soul does rejoice! It is not merely that I have proven to man but that I have connected with God so that He would lead me in the way that is everlasting–and that I would ACCEPT!

A year ago I was selfish. A year ago I only thought about my ways. A year ago I wanted to pursue everything that I thought was best for me despite what God ordained for me. A year ago I was heavily deceived and confused with my own calling of God and what He wanted for me as a woman. A year ago I was bound and now I am free. Continue reading
