How furious this world is demonstrating unrestrained or violent anger, rage, passion, or the like; violence; vehemence; fierceness and wrath are plundering through the nations.
In a time of our fasting – this is certainly a great petition to put forth in our prayer time regarding the fury nations, places and people. Why has all this come upon us now, for we even fight for our faith? As each Christian stood up they were shot by a young man filled with unrestrained violence and hate toward a people of faith in the state of Oregon.
Yet another mass shooting has occurred, while many are traumatized by the effects of all this violence. How sad, how somber and what an eye-opener for us all to continue to stand in our faith and prayers!
There is a God that still answers. It could have been worse even though lives were lost, we all feel the effects of this horrifying crime that has occurred. When will this cease? When will the rage be refrained?
Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
“Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.”
“I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalm 2
May the people join together as one.
Anger should have no place in us.
We must cultivate a place of safety.
Please stand in agreement during this tragic moment of history where more lives are lost to gun violence, wrath and discrimination. May the spirit of God be poured out upon the nations. I am so sorry to hear that each person stood up in fear that had to put their only trust in God at that moment. Our hearts cry out for the families affected by this.
God is calling out to us… AWAKE! AWAKE!
Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
Ephesians 5:14
God have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon an ungodly people that are running around rampant seeking who they can devour. Protect your people Lord. Establish the just! Keep us from harm. Keep us united in prayer and intercession for the lost. Remove wrath. Remove rage…let it have no place and no dominion over us. We are fasting fury! We are fasting for faith and fellowship! We are fasting and believing you God to move upon the nations. Place upon our hearts a great peace and comfort in a time such as this. Let hope rise up. Let faith arise. Let justice prevail.
With a heavy heart I pray… In Jesus Name.
