Seasons Of Change

Seasons of ChangeSeasonsOfLife

Goodbye summer.
We will miss you.
Fall is approaching.

We are in the remains of our summer to enjoy while it lasts. With the busyness of returning from a holiday weekend as the kids are going back to school, we are savoring up all the last moments of blissful days and awesome rays! As for me, this has been an amazing summer! I got to explore beautiful places and spend a lot of quality time with family and friends.

This is how the clock works. We go from season to season and get to experience all. Same thing for the things of God. He has seasons for us as well.

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.
~Genesis 1:14

Seasons were created since the beginning of time. This lets us know where we are in life and we could experience the greatest moments in each.

Spring

Spring is quite beautiful but can vary from day to day. It rains an awful lot and can range back to cold temperatures to comfortably warm weather. This is an opportunity to see nature blossom and grow.

For us in the spiritual aspect – this is a time for us to spring forth into the things that God has for us. Ideas start to rise up in our heads, then we take action. We blossom and grow inside as we get to see the new things that God does with us. We get to experience a taste of goodness with God….as He moves us from glory to glory. We should always be at a point where we are springing ahead. Ready for what God has for us.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
2 Timothy 4:2a (NKJV)

Summer

Summer is the time of travel. This is the time for vacationing. The weather is typically hot for about three consecutive months and we get to enjoy the beach or pool. Time to swim in the river to keep cool. We get to sit in the sun and enjoy the warmth. Sometimes it can get so hot that it becomes uncomfortable. We can even become lazy because of the heated weather. We have to be careful not to get scorched by the heat of the sun. As beautiful as it can tan our bodies–we can also get burned badly. Precaution is necessary.

For the things of God we have to be careful too. We can be so fired up for God and try to take on every activity under the sun that we exhaust ourselves too quickly. We need to be on fire for God certainly but not to the point where we crash and burn.

But regarding anything beyond this, dear friend, go easy. There’s no end to the publishing of books, and constant study wears you out so you’re no good for anything else. The last and final word is this:
Fear God.
Do what he tells you.
Ecclesiastes 12:12-13 (MSG)

Autumn

Autumn/Fall is an ever-changing season. A lot of nature taking on different colors and the weather rapidly moving as it prepares for the cold season ahead. This is a time of a lot of preparation. In the natural – we prepare for the holidays. We prepare for the busy season ahead and we prepare for year end.

As for our spirits – this is also a time for us to gear up and be ready with all our armor. Preparing for the cold time or preparing for any challenges that may come our way.

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Ephesians 6:10-13 (AMP)

Winter

Winter is our cold time. This is the time that you have to bundle up. You have to make sure you are protected from the brittle weather. This is the time where you hear so many complaints.

“It is so cold out there!”
“Oh NO, more snow!”
“I can barely feel my hands!”
“This is certainly frostbite season”

In our walk with God, we can sense the times of coldness. Where we feel like everything is growing frigid in our lives. It is hard to keep a momentum because of the dropping temperatures. But keep calm and just know that God is the one that will cover you and KEEP you through any brittle moment in your life. This is a time where we will ALWAYS see the hand of God on our side.

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you
Isaiah 54:14

God is our source and He is our Protector. He is the one that is taking us from season to season. We live, we love, we learn…all about the many things that God wants to reveal to us. Whatever season you find yourself in…believe that God will bless you in it and through it! Just keep close. Keep close during all the seasons of change.  As the seasons change, so do we. We grow into the place that God fashioned for us.

Just go with it and be at peace. God’s timing for you is absolutely perfect. He will never do this wrong. Trust Him. Great things are on the horizon. Be in positive anticipation and expectation.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28
