Struggling with uncertainly?
Do you need serious direction?
Are you in a situation or place where you feel lost?
Do you ever feel like you need a life coach present?
Well there is a life coach that is available 24/7… and there are times along the way that He will also send the one to help propel you in the right direction and help you reach those important destinations in life.
I was just driving to a place up in Yorktown and our GPS didn’t seem to be taking us to the place. Sometimes that happens where the system just doesn’t recognize the exact location. So in traveling with other cars that were headed to the same place, they arrived to the spot before us.
Frantic, we thought we were all lost. Even the sign didn’t have the name of the place. I got directions from my husband and looked online and nothing was getting us there until one of the other drivers called us. With the Apple technology–they said, “Can you drop the pin so that I know where you are?” Me and the passenger in the car laughed like what in the world is “drop the pin.” Then our adviser here said, “Fine let me send my location to you so that you can find me.” So he actually ended up dropping the pin to us… As we had him on speaker phone he sent his location via text so that we can find them.
When we saw the location on my phone pop up we were able to easily start the route to get to them. As he was on the phone, he even questioned if he was in the right spot. I had been there only once before very long ago, so I was able to help us better. He described the place and we advised him to see if other cars of our friends were there. They said yes! Bingo!
Now that we had him pinned we were on our way to them as he arrived FIRST. I told my passenger friend that this is definitely going to be my next blog!
Just DROP THE PIN!
We arrive to places faster and easier with the help of others that have gotten there before us. They know because they went through it. They know because they arrived. They know because they are fully assured in their direction. And it is so helpful to have that type of person or people in our life that can help LEAD THE WAY! It is not so easy to do everything solo…sometimes we really do need some type of “ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE!” And spiritual speaking, that road side assistance to confirm our calling and purpose is necessary.
There is a story in the bible where Mary visits a woman Elizabeth, that made her “baby” leap! This confirmed that God was doing something in her. This assured that the supernatural place that God was taking her was done in alignment with the birth of another. We are all holding our own “baby” until that time comes that we give birth to our dreams, visions, goals & ministries. And a word of assurance that it will happen is always joy to our ears.
Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told to her from the Lord.”
Luke 1:39-45
In the gospel according to Luke, we see such detail provided when promises are shared to chosen vessels. For this particular history to occur would impact 2 homes so that the world would reap the benefits! First Elizabeth becomes pregnant with a child to bring forth [John the Baptist] and then Mary is given the promise of the Messiah to birth [Jesus Christ of Nazareth]. As Mary goes to the home of Elizabeth, just at the greeting–she confirms to her that she is a carrier of the Lord Jesus Christ! Elizabeth had no idea of this. Mary didn’t share a thing with her and neither did any another prior to this meeting. This is so amazing how the Spirit of God works.
An angel visits Zacharias, Elizabeth’s husband, to give the promise of John the Baptist. An angel visits Mary to speak the promise over her of our Lord Jesus Christ. Elizabeth becomes filled with the Holy Spirit at the voice of Mary. Then Elizabeth confirms that Mary IS the mother of our Lord Jesus. This causes Mary to rejoice at the word that she received from the angel Gabriel. Mary could have traveled anywhere, but God brought her to the one carrying John the Baptist. He would be the first to lead people through the way to be baptized for repentance into new life. Until the day would come for him to baptize Jesus Christ who would then be our ultimate way for us to receive repentance into new life… which is our eternal salvation!
We need people that can lead the way. We need to be around people that are going in the same direction as us. These are the people that help propel us into our destiny. They help to confirm the promises of God when we think they seem impossible. We need assurance. We need confirmation. We need to know that God will fulfill what He has promised…and that happens when we get surrounded by the right people who know where to go through CHRIST!
In today’s world we could say the Elizabeth did in fact “drop the pin” for Mary! She pointed her to her purpose. That divine destination was shown and confirmed by the words of Elizabeth. We could always use that Very Important Person in our lives to lead that way for us. Thanks for all the trailblazers that set the bar and pave the way for the promises of God. It is wonderful to receive that exact dropped pin from someone that is already there pregnant with vision and purpose.
Maybe now it is time for us to drop the pin for another to attain these precious things too… Now that you arrived by the means of others… Lead the way to that purposed place too!
Thanks Mr. Adviser! We would have never made it if you did not drop that pin! For we were able to partake and receive that promised word delivered by a powerful servant of the Lord to confirm our victory!
