Knowing All Things

imageWe often attribute things to coincidence or some other meaningless notion but with God there are no casual coincidences! He does and knows ALL THINGS! That is why He is omnipotent (almighty or infinite in power), omnipresent (present everywhere) and omniscient (having complete and unlimited knowledge)! And the very Spirit of God dwells in us. We will know these things too.

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”
1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I believe in my life that the Spirit of God leads me to do all things. Just as He led me to purchase this book, “Naked Prayers” by Mara Measor for such a precise time as this. I started to flip through the opening pages and was so amazed at how direct this was to my life right now. As I continued to read, the words were more and more aligned with my journey. Such specific and ardent prayers written in this book that describe common experiences as mine. I had to post and share some words on my social networking pages.

God is with me…and always moving! I am sitting in Him as He is leading the way and dropping that pin for me!
Even visiting my counselor this morning he referred to a passage in the bible that I just wrote about yesterday! I was sharing how God has placed people in my life that I need to appreciate more not only because they do tremendous things for me but they demonstrate a love to me that goes beyond all feelings. It is an act of love. He mentions the Song of Mary…

“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In this moment she breaks out in an expression of praise to God for looking upon her as the chosen vessel to bear Jesus Christ. For what a great honor and privilege that she was selected among many. For He knows all things and has a sovereign plan for each of our lives.

He leads us through it all, fully orchestrating our divine destiny. He speaks to us individually and openly. It is not just by coincidence that things happen. For even when something wrong occurs, He turns it around for the good.

For myself I find that God does things in drastic ways. He confirmed a word to me over this weekend at a Youth retreat. He confirmed with a gentle nudge by sending a natural hurricane this way. He also confirmed through 2 individuals reaching out to me about my process of restoration. I am very thankful for all the God nudges, for all the God reminders, for all the God signs and wonders. He never ceases to amaze me.

He shouts His word and will always speak to us daily, we just need to be aware. I believe Psalm 29 is relevant to share the entire passage as it depicts the voice of the Lord.

Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”
The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,
And the Lord sits as King forever.
The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

The voice of the the Lord is POWERFUL! HE SPEAKS! And it is loud, it is full of majesty, it breaks chains and bondage, it divides, it shakes and it makes us give birth to new life.

So those gentle nudges that you are getting, perhaps in the form of a text message, a phone call, a scripture you came across, words of a friend or another or you hearing something good in your mind…this is HOW God speaks to us! Don’t ignore those things. For sometimes they are warnings. This saves us from entering a world or harm! Or perhaps it is a word of encouragement just at the time that you need it the most. His voice echos through our heart and soul.

We serve a good God who is more than capable of directing His people from day to day. He is directing you too! The same way He is directing me. And if you have the Lord in your heart and in your life that voice will be more than constant…it will be PSALM 29!

Nothing is from a casual coincidence! God knows all things and is revealing all that to us as well. For blessed are those that know His voice [John 10:4]. Rest assured…He will guide and lead us through it all.
