You know a lot of times we become weary, disappointed and frustrated due to life circumstances or the way people do business. We actually set ourselves up for this unsettling and uncertainty through the course of time. Especially when we experience things not really working out in our favor or how God promised us concerning our future.
Circumstances can make it look VERY unlikely or just plain impossible! What we don’t realize is that much of this frustration is really dependent upon our choices and how FAR we are willing to go in order to make that happen!
This would make us the WATER WALKER by faith and a place where we can NO LONGER look at the waves!
There is usually that ONE among the rest that will dare to be different! They dare to step out in faith! And instead of waiting around for other people to get the work done, they start it up themselves!
Just like Peter stood out above the rest, so can we! Become a WATER WALKER! And watch God catch you right where you stretch yourself out to! He meets you there.
“About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!” But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here! ” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?””
Matthew 14:25-31 NLT
Among all the disciples that were walking with the miracle maker Jesus Christ day in and day out, none of them stepped out in faith the way Peter did. If Jesus did it, He wants us to follow. Peter saw Him walking on water and said, “I can do that too!”
Peter was a trendsetter!
Peter was a pioneer!
Peter was a leader!
Even though there was a risk, he did it. Even though he was afraid, he got out of the boat. What are you willing to do? Peter was the type to attract other leaders! And that is what God is seeking through you and I. We can raise the bar! We can set the tone! We can make the difference instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
For too long we are guilty of putting our own happiness in the hands of others. We are waiting for other people to do things FOR us. We wait, we wait…. Oh and WE WAIT!
When some of this waiting is all just WASTING time! I know the Word does advise us to “BE STILL and know” in Psalm 46, but many times we take this out of context!
The bible says, “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!” And that, “We walk by FAITH and NOT BY SIGHT!”
This is what we must practice!
Peter did this! The MOMENT he looked away from Jesus, he began to sink! And some of us are sinking into depression, misery, disappointment and frustration because we are taking our eyes off Jesus and what He declares over us!
YOU ARE A WATER WALKER!
So walk in it! Walk in your blessing, walk in your destiny, walk in your purpose and walk in your calling! You know who you are IN CHRIST! Make it better! You know we can do nothing lasting on our own strength! We need the power of God manifested in us to do amazing things! Just like in the Acts of the Apostles! They did GREAT things.
Jesus said, “GREATER YOU SHALL DO!”
Do you believe it?
Don’t drown yourself in doubt!
Don’t drown yourself in discouragement!
Don’t drown yourself in disappointed!
Don’t settle in complacency!
Don’t become a prisoner to that! And sometimes we experience others trying to dull us or dilute our passion and zeal. So rather than change your roll of what you do, refuse to allow anyone the right to bring that complacency upon you…YOU need to continue to move and manifest in a trendsetting mindset.
This happens to us all, just like Peter too! And like everyone faced with a great destiny! Start taking initiative! Don’t complain about things, but start moving out in faith. Take it to the throne in prayer and believe God will do things through you too.
Even King David fell in the slumps during wartime. But he also KNEW his God would pull him through.
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 King James Version
Be determined!
Be encouraged!
Be a WATER WALKER!!!
By faith! If God said it, He WILL do it!
