The Victor

image“Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.”
2 Timothy 2:3-5

I was sitting in a veteran honoree service Saturday, and left so impacted by the words exchanged regarding these men. They stand as soldiers that have sacrificed, served and surrendered their life to fight and protect this country. This is worthy of giving honor. These are true victors. They have survived much and can sit in a place as a representative that was put through many battles in life. They won. They fought through. They lift their hands for the victory!

Sometimes we become so mad at ourselves for being the victim.
Questioning, “WHY did I do it, WHY GOD? If I knew this would lead me wrong then why did I do it? Why?”
I kept contemplating. The focus is now more on being the victim and not the victor. This is why it is so critical to go to the Word of God for direction. What does it say? How does it advise us in these times. We don’t have to be a victim. Find the truth!

The enemy doesn’t love you …he lures you. His plan is to destroy you and come against your purpose. He is seeking whom he MAY devour and that does not have to be you! Be watchful! Be wise! Be warned! Because all he wants to do is bring you down with him when God has a plan for you to live for eternity with Him!
Don’t allow the enemy to tap into your own personal realm! Don’t allow those boundaries to be crossed! You decide! You set the pace for your progress and protection against his EVIL plans!
Nothing good comes out of what he has to offer you!!! Nothing good, so stand SHARP! Gear up and send that devil right where he belongs! If you don’t even know WHY you fell prey! I am here to remind you today that there is a way! A way to win and a way out of his mess!

Humble yourselves, therefore under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast ALL your anxiety [and care] on him because He cares for you. Be ALERT and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. RESIST him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the SAME kind of suffering.
1 Peter 5:6-9

You are not the only one. You are not alone. The enemy LIES to you! He deceives you! He is not thinking of you like the way GOD is mindful of you. The only thing the enemy is thinking about is destroying WHO YOU ARE… Attacking your identity! Accusing your life! Opposing your future! But you MUST be reminded! Don’t think on the lies! Don’t buy into his corrupt nature! It won’t work!!!! He is LYING! That is all he does, he is as good at it as the father of lies.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you!

That is why sometimes the enemy won’t take you seriously. It is like working in the gym, selling or promoting health products and your obese. Does it work or not?!? This is truth for us. It is being extremely real with the situation. Because yes, the enemy will appear over time and look more dazzling than ever but you DO HAVE the power to resist! Now your enemy will really know!

I don’t have to be a victim…. I’m a victor!

I AM more than a conqueror because I AM lives in me!

So begin telling yourself that every single time the enemy tries to attack or accuse you… I don’t have a problem, I have a PROMISE! And I will remain faithful to my God!

Just as these scriptures speak on suffering for the soldier– know that we all have to experience this. It is only to make us stronger. Submit to God. Give this over to Him. He wants you to be the victor! We shall overcome and wear that victor’s crown! Now instead of contemplating loss, contemplate the cost! You can do it. You can win. You are God’s soldier and His grace is upon you to finish the fight. Keep reminding yourself about that crown.

But He gives us more grace.
That is why the Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Submit yourselves, then to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:6-7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day– and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14

YOU ARE A VICTOR!!!
