The Move

imageThe time is flying by and we are wrapping things up this last month to close out what has been such a dynamic and life changing year for me. With that is also coming a change to my location here and I am very excited. I know that God is going to be changing a lot more things and I am ready for this move. I will be moving to the city shortly as part of my career and I know God is leading me there. I am ready to put the past of this place behind me.

I am ready to move on to new venues that God has.

I am ready to explore the new ground.

I am ready to do what ever it takes to help press ahead.

I am MORE THAN READY for the move!
I know packing isn’t always fun either. We decide what needs to come with us and what needs to go! Sometimes we just need everything new.

Forget what happened before,
And do not think about the past.
Look at the new thing I am going to do.
It’s already happening.
Don’t you see it?
Isaiah 43:18-19 NCV

I see it! It is time for us to FORGET! For too long we wallow in our past. We live there, nurture it, feed it and keep ourselves stuck in the “yesteryears” of life! Some of it is good and some of it is not. We have to mentally sift through all of that and discard what needs to go. When God wants to take you somewhere new, He doesn’t want you to keep harping on what happened yesterday!

Think about it! WHAT is your MIND doing to help that or change that. It is impossible.  MOVE ON!

Relationships don’t grow, you don’t grow and things never get resolved when we keep reflecting on the past. Then we have become a prisoner of our past. We don’t get out. We stay incarcerated mentally! WOW! And you have the power to change all of that if you look to what is ahead…look at what is NEW for you!

It may even bring you frustration–but others are not changing. Why don’t THEY change?! Honestly, the first focus should always be YOU! And that is where inner peace will reside. That is what counts the most.

Are you changing?

God has amazing things coming down the pike! He says, “Look there! Look at the new thing!” Stop focusing on what is NOT changing and focus on WHAT IS changing! Let that be you! He says, “It is already happening…don’t you see it!”

I do!

I see it, feel it, sense it, think it, live it and I LOVE IT!

I need this! And I know you need it too. It is what’s best for us. I don’t want to remain in a place that is stagnant. I don’t want to remain in a dry land. I want to be by the well. I want to never thirst again. When I bring myself to the heart of God, I see the change. I experience a new birth inside. That to me is worth this move. It is not easy but it is worth it all. Time to let go of all the past, the baggage, the anger, the resentment, the memories, the blame game, the mistakes and even all that was good– He has better things in store!

The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’
Declares the LORD Almighty.”
Haggai 2:9 NIV

God promises to make the new house GREATER! The new place that He brings you to–more promising! Imagine that new house is YOU. He is saying —what you have NOW in the present is GREATER than what you ever had. This will also be a place of PEACE! It is not farther down the road. It is not years to come. It is not a dream or a fantasy. It is what God wants to do with your house NOW!

Can you let Him?

Give it all to Him, pack your bags, get ready, keep cleaning house and making moves instead of excuses. Embrace the change. Trust that it is going to be far beyond what you could ever imagine. God is able to do it.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20 New Living Translation

My friend, don’t wallow anymore. In all that wallowing –it has never brought you peace the way a hope anchored in God could be. Change IS here. We are IN the move. As the new year approaches, let’s keep pressing with a mindset that says, “I’m ready God! Take me to the place where I have that complete rest in a house that you made for me. A glorious place, so much better than the former.”

This December–pack your bags! Because we are moving! It could be that when you get to that new place –that it is already newly and fully furnished! That’s the God thing! All you ever needed to pack was you…. God provides the rest. Amen!
