The Revolutionary Heart ❤

I had this in my spirit to put this message together for our church in light of what has been going on recently. God is moving in a mighty way and we are experiencing a spiritual tsunami! In a nutshell, He is overwhelming us with glorious moments! It is absolutely beautiful.

The flip side to that is the enemy is also coming fiercely to fight us tooth and nail. Since the enemy has been cast on this earth—and as long as we live here TOO, then we are just going to have to duke it out! Issues start to surface; he tries to snatch away that word and then comes the contention…BUT WE WILL CONQUER!!!

Where do we begin? With a revolution of the heart! God is processing us and we will see it and live it.

For the change to begin, it is by the power of character that we will see the results. That is hard work! How much are will willing to change… to go to God and say… HERE IS MY HEART! Take it, mold it and change it!

A revolution is a sudden, complete or marked change in something, it is a turn or thorough replacement. Sometimes we can’t change or grow in a thing because there is just way too much clutter there. Something is vacating the place exactly where God needs to fill.

When you start to remove the clutter,
You begin to make room for the BEST things!

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
Ezekiel 36:26-28

REMOVE

Remove what? Everything that’s taking the place of God.
Destroy what destroys you!

To remove is to abolish, amputate, cut out/off, detach, dethrone, erase, pull out, purge and SEPARATE.
Why do we keep carrying and nurturing things that HURT us? Why do we keep things that don’t belong to us or from God?
Just GET RID OF IT!

Your first place of growth is to remove all the things that hinder us, even if it is a mindset. Throw away trinkets, letters, clothing, key chains…if the memory ties you to pain then TRASH it!

He shall remove all the fat and burn it on the altar.
Leviticus 4:19

The altar is symbolic of the presence of God. It is a holy place. We can’t grow or function if we don’t remove the “fat” from our lives. And it is obvious–we know that its not good for us.

I will gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you back the land of Israel again. They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols-I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them.
Ezekiel 11:17-19

We can’t have that 1 foot in and 1 foot out. That is halfheartedly and half committed living. The Psalmist wrote in 119:2, “seek Him with the WHOLE heart!”

RENEW

What do we need to renew? Our ways and our mind! This is to reestablish, to make effective, begin or take up again. This says–Let’s try this again the RIGHT way. Your walk, life, love, relationships, work life or ministry. How–all things new. If God is doing a new thing in you then why do you keep doing the old things still?  It is called HABIT! We are creatures of habit.

Forget what happened before,
And do not think about the past.
Look at the new thing I am going to do.
It’s already happening.
Don’t you see it?
Isaiah 43:18-19 NCV

Break the cycle! If mommy and daddy did it–doesn’t mean you have to do it. If it happened to all your aunts and uncles, that doesn’t have to be you. We cannot progress as long as we keep holding on to past practices. If it happened in relationship A that does not mean it will happen in relationship B.

TRY AGAIN!

We give the enemy and others WAY too much room and permission when God is calling US to raise the standards.

We are people that are more than capable of change. Change your thinking and it will change your actions. How? The WORD! You can’t keep having a mentality that says, “Oh but I am like this! This is me!” The evidence of change is CHANGE and that my friend is very much possible when you give your whole heart to God. He turns it!

The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
Proverbs 21:1

Time to RENEW the mind… the Apostle Paul wrote, “I urge you by the tender mercies of God….” in Romans 12:1-2. We must renew our minds. Surrender all. History does not have to repeat itself in your home. That transformation of the mind needs to take place!

RESTORE

We need to brink back into existence. If it was broke – it can be fixed! Being broken doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work. It just means that it is not functioning PROPERLY! Make it right now. God promises with this new heart to restore the years. Stop thinking “its lost time, lost years or lost love.” Make it different. Make it right, WITH God. David was broke and wrote, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation…” in Psalm 51:12.

Remember the latter will always be greater! God does save the best for last. Stop thinking…”I’m last, I’m late, I’m old or I still don’t got it.” God saves the BEST for last!

So I will restore to you the years… that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locusts, the consuming locusts, and the chewing locusts…
Joel 2:25

Any of you still have some stuff swarming over you?

God’s got this!

REBUILD

This is where true work takes place with the strongest roots and foundation ever! If you ever felt like you survived, and there is so much rubble to work through… this is the building! There is no going back when you rebuild, it is because the old stuff is gone and YES it is hard. Now your alive to thrive!

In Nehemiah 1 & 2 they fixed together! Many times we fail at things because it was a joint effort. Now rebuilt – the better way. It is a team effort. Nehemiah said, “Let’s rebuild!” They responded, “Yes, let’s rebuild!” And they did it!

Now rebuild – the better way, God’s way, through His word, His grace, His redemption and by His plans! Don’t stay in a mindset, “But it is a mess now.” If it is ruined –good! RUIN us Lord! So that we can reflect You!

Let it be rebuilt,” and of the temple,
“Let its foundations be laid.”’
Isaiah 44:28

Allow God to do that work in you, for you and through you. So that those finger pointing experts can say, “WOW….God did that! That dysfunctional family became the deliverance family!”

Chains are broken!

We are in that quick marked change!

The enemy is mad. The trials are real yes, but we get to see a REAL God break through our night and turn our mourning into dancing. He takes the tears to water the roots…deep roots, so that we are so grounded in Him.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
    that have been devastated for generations.
Isaiah 61:4

Let’s start that REAL revolution. It begins with the heart that will impact the rest! So that we will see the revolution in our own personal life, home, job, church and everywhere else that our feet tread upon!
