These are the last days! And times are going to get MORE intense! Just as we are sailing past the hustle and bustle we will get through all of these.
My heart does have a deep concern for those unable to turn from such torment. I can only ease myself and my peace of mind by keeping them in prayer.
As for me, my family and the church… God is keeping us through every season. I hear Him loud in my soul these days saying…
Can you bear it?
Yes I can, God! With YOU, I can do all these things. I stood at church on Sunday… The last Sunday service of twenty fifteen with a big smile on my face. I could not contain it! Hopefully contagious because God has just been so good to me! I can bear it! What started out as the year from hell and back turned out to be the year of healing and triumph!
I was so ashamed, upset, downcast and LITERALLY DESTROYED! I didn’t even want to walk in the doors of church anymore. Tears became my food day and night as the psalmist declared! But THANKS BE TO MY GOD WHO HAS DELIVERED ME FROM EVERY TRIAL! I am no longer in shame, ruins or brokenness for He took all that and placed His redemptive covering over me! He has crowned me with glory! With lovingkindness and tender mercies!!! What looked like the worst year turned out to be the BEST! Sitting in January and now standing as we push to another January! And preaching God’s victory!
I love HIM! And I will shout it from the rooftops for my God has saved me and pulled me out of the PIT OF DEATH! Now I will do, go, say, walk and enter into all the places that HE has for me!
So thankful!
And so the apostle declares…
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.”
II Timothy 3:1-11 NKJV
Out of EVERY–SINGLE–TRIAL and tribulation the Lord HAS delivered me! Out of them ALL!!! He didn’t leave me for dead like Glass in the movie “The Revenant!”
I shared the BEAR scene with the congregation! So sorry to have spoiled it for folks that did not get to see this gruesome but riveting film staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy.
It was a lengthy brutal scene about 15 minutes into the movie that took a turn leading to the primary theme. The character Glass survives a horrible bear attack leaving him left for dead. The scene showed everything! This man being ripped apart by a huge angry bear! He was thrown, torn and shredded by the sharpest nails! I could barely watch but I had to see this FIGHT! Man and Beast!!! The man barely able to move managed to get a shot in after having the riffle flung away at first attack! After missing the takedown of the bear he finds a pocket knife and begins hacking away at the bear during MORE furious bites and tears!!!
The bear was using this poor man as a toy! Same way the enemy is trying to toy with us! BUT IF WE FIGHT!!!
If we resist!
If we persist!
If we pull out ALL our weapons!
We surely can bear it and take out the “grizzly bear” from our way! We just NEED to fight with what God has given us!
As in yesterday’s blog, USE THE (S)WORD!!!
So that you are ABLE to bear the BEARS in your life and slay every single one!!!
To bear is to hold up; support; to hold or remain firm under (a load); to bring forth (young); give birth to; to produce by natural growth; to hold up under; be capable of; to press or push against; to hold or carry (oneself, one’s body, one’s head, etc.); to conduct (oneself); to suffer; endure; undergo; to sustain without yielding or suffering injury and to tolerate.
In a film like this, it creates an image for us. Even if it appears unrealistic. This was a just prime example of how one is BEARING the bear!!! A conqueror indeed with a new purpose driven inside to him to SURVIVE!
So I am not sure of your type of “grizzly” situation but rest assured just like the three hebrew boys in Daniel 3 endured the flames seven times stronger… So can we! The people absent of God were not able to survive the flames bringing the boys near the fire! They died just going NEAR!!! But look how powerful our God is that being IN IT IS SAFER!!!! It will never, never… EVER take you out!
In the darkest and roughest places in life come forth the most beautiful and brightest things!!! That is how you look pulling through the fire, the storms and all the grizzlies in your life! It is amazing to see how God is using you to pull right through.
We are still standing this year and not only alive but thriving! God did that! ❤
Can we bear it?
YES! WE CAN!!!
