God Is

imageAll Powerful.
All Present.
All Knowing.
All Loving.

He is the beginning and the end.
He is the Alpha and the Omega.
He is the Great I Am.
He is the Shepherd.

God is all that we need.

So the psalmist wrote…I shall not be in want because He IS!

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear NO evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and love will follow me All the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever.
Psalm 23 (New International Version)

God is Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. Everything that we need first, we shall find in God. He is the one that we seek. When we consider all the attributes of God who can surpass that. God is all. We fix our eyes on all that He is.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Hebrews 12:1-3 (New International Version)

Since God has already done so much for us, by giving us His son we can lay aside all that hinders us. We can run this race of ours–continue in the journey–and push through the process of growth in our walk. He endured so much, so that we would be able to conquer this life righteously.

God is.

We need to reflect and continue to discover all that the holy scriptures tell us regarding the pure attributes of God. When I feel the weight of the day, I remind myself of who God is and accept that He lives in me. He is our connection, our strength and our vine.

God is.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:1-5 (New King James Version)

Just abide in Him. Remain in God. Be consistent in your time with Him. Acknowledge Him all throughout the day. The Holy Spirit dwells in you–to keep, comfort, strengthen, settle and establish you. In this, you will bear much fruit. This is how you know that you are never alone.

God is.

Be comforted in that truth today.
