Stay In The Line

imageThank You Jesus!

I don’t want to walk off this course that You set for me.

Here—there is blessing.

Here—there is increase.

Here—there is stability.

Here—there is peace.

Here—there is purpose.

And I know I need this more. Beyond all the wants and creativities of my mind, what I need is what counts. That is the cost that I have counted…my end result.

The result of the blessing being manifested when I choose to stay in the line!

The Amplified Bible states:
Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.
Galatians 6:9

I love that scripture because I can share with you that we will be constantly faced with weariness and discouragement. That is why the bible encourages us and provides a way of hope through trusting in the promises of God.

We will get tired.

We will get weary.

We will get discouraged.

But we DON’T need to remain there. Unfortunately, many people stay in that place of discouragement and they fall short of receiving the best results. We have to run the race, stay the course and keep the line. Typically that will happen a lot easier if we keep our minds stayed on Him [Isaiah 26:3] and that we don’t isolate ourselves during these times.

A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;
He rages against all wise judgment.
Proverbs 18:1 (NKJV)

Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad.
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV)

It is critical that we keep the faith and that can be so much easier when we stay connected to a spirit-filled body of individuals. It is not enough to do this independently. WE NEED HELP ALWAYS! God is our help, we can be our help and with the help of others too—it takes us through the most TRYING times of our lives!!!

Have you ever seen the movie “Gladiator” with Russell Crowe?

That is by far the greatest film for me—because of the leadership concept. Russell’s character started as a general for the Roman Empire at that time until he became captured by the Romans under a corrupt leadership that had taken place. However, in the beginning of the film, we see how he became the general that he was. He was admired, loved, respected and revered. The king believed in him, his leaders believed in him and the soldiers believed in him because he was a GREAT leader. He ran through the field fighting WITH THEM! He didn’t sit behind the side lines and wait…he led with them. He ran with them. He fought with them and all through it he kept them in the line.

As they came behind enemy lines as a strategy—he kept shouting to his team, “HOLD THE LINE!” This meant that if they stayed together—as they crashed into their enemies it would be fiercer and that much more of effective plunge to slaughter their enemies!

AND THEY CONQUERED!

If you get in line with some of the finest soldiers in the kingdom of God, you will be able to hold the line of faith well too! I just recently received a huge promotion in my current secular role and I shared this with my close family and a few friends. As I shared with one, they told me, “WOW Congratulations to you! I am so happy for you. You deserve this. Now I KNOW mine is coming too –so I am going to stay in the line of God and wait because He has me next!”

We laughed. I said, “WOW! I love that concept—it is true, AMEN!”

And then they said, “Get back in the line because there is MORE coming to you!”

Oh what a concept! I receive that, because that IS THE GOD WE SERVE, who will continue to proper us in every single area of our lives. Our homes will be blessed, our families will be blessed, our jobs will be blessed—that is the promise of Deuteronomy 28 in full effect that I wrote about in the beginning of January! This will be the YEAR OF WOW!

I feel it, see it and live it! Just like He did to Isaac He will do it with us.

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.
Genesis 26:12-13

Sow in your land! Sow seeds of faith and not doubt; encouragement instead of discouragement; strength instead of weakness; consistency instead of laziness and hope instead of fear!

God is going to hold to His word but you need to hold to it too.

Stay in the line! Don’t get off the line because you can’t wait any longer or because you have something else to do or somewhere else to go as a quick fix to your situation.

STAY IN THAT LINE MY FRIEND!

It will happen for you if you DON’T GIVE UP!
