Happy Good Friday all! Thank God for sending us His Son. Thank God for filling us with the Holy Spirit and with fire! Thank God for giving us a guide through His sovereign Word. That is the utmost. All I’m doing is loving this Word. I’m diving in! Suit is on, I’m geared up and going in!
Do you now know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
The Creator of the ends of the earth
He will not grow tired or weary
And His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives His strength to the weary
And increases the power of the weak!
Even youths grow tired and weary
And young men stumble and fall;
But those who hope in the Lord
Will renew their strength.
They will SOAR on wings like eagles;
They will RUN and not grow weary,
They will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31 (New International Version)
You know we all grow tired and weary. From hour to hour, day to day, week to week, month to month and year to year! That’s life…. We are on the go and we grow.God never grows weary! That is why He is everything we NEED! It doesn’t matter who you are.
Young or old;
Youth or elder;
Child or adult;
Dark or light;
Thin or thick;
Male or female;
Knowing or nothing;
You will go through it!
But THANK GOD for His word. He makes us soar like eagles. He gives us wings to fly. Wings like eagles –what a promise and a beautiful one at that! We are going to soar! We’re going to run! We are going to keep walking and moving forward! He is that faithful listener moving through us, for us and IN us!
What a reason to celebrate the greatest Friday too.
My prayer journal from last night’s study says for March 24th, “SOMETIMES MY HEART is so overwhelmed, God, that I don’t know where to begin my prayer. Help me to quiet my soul and remember that you know everything inside my mind before I ever come to you about it, Lord, and I know you have said that you want me to tell you. Thank you for being such a faithful listener and for caring about everything that concerns me. When I remember that, it helps me slow down, take a deep breath, and finally begin the conversation. OK. I’m ready now to talk…and to listen.
“But it is for you, O Lord, that I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.”
Psalm 38:15
{My Personal Daily Prayer Book by Christine A. Dallman, Margaret Anne Huffman}
So even through all those overwhelming moments, when we are weak, He makes us strong. He helps to quiet our soul. He is that faithful listener. He cares for everything that concerns us. We can go to Him at any time because of what He did on the greatest Friday ever. He gave Himself! That suffering that He endured was more overwhelming then any typical day that we will pass through. He finished all of that to pave the way for our eternal freedom.
Let’s reflect on that.
Let’s reflect on that promise.
Let’s reflect on that crucifixion.
When we have so many things in life that makes us feel like we are the outcasts, those being persecuted, bogged down, burdened or in trials… He did it all FOR us! He gave it all FOR us! This is more than a standard T.G.I.F.
This is the greatest Friday ever to recollect and hold onto what He has done for us. I love the new prayer journal bible I bought. As I scrolled to one of my new favorite places of Isaiah, I stumbled upon Isaiah 40…wings like eagles. And we can see by the time we get to Isaiah 53…He did this all for me. He did this all for you.
For 3/25/16 ~ Happy Birthday to my “Hammyville” and Happy Good Friday to everyone.
See you at prayer. ❤
