That’s Us

imageThere is always that one person that makes such a HUGE difference in your life. No matter the time lapse, no matter the distance, you are just forever knit and connected at the soul.

We laughed, cried, warred in the spirit… Grown, shared, fought, YES and got stronger! ❤

You are just that Jonathan person! That would lay it all down for a friend. WOW! That is just deep. Because Jonathan cared more for this friend.

“Then David fled from Naioth at Ramah and went to Jonathan and asked, “What have I done? What is my crime? How have I wronged your father, that he is trying to kill me?” “Never!” Jonathan replied. “You are not going to die! Look, my father doesn’t do anything, great or small, without letting me know. Why would he hide this from me? It isn’t so!” But David took an oath and said, “Your father knows very well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said to himself, ‘Jonathan must not know this or he will be grieved.’ Yet as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, there is only a step between me and death.” Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do for you.””
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭20:1-4‬ ‭NIV‬

“Then Jonathan said to David, “I swear by the Lord, the God of Israel, that I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favorably disposed toward you, will I not send you word and let you know? But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father. But show me unfailing kindness like the Lord’s kindness as long as I live, so that I may not be killed, and do not ever cut off your kindness from my family—not even when the Lord has cut off every one of David’s enemies from the face of the earth.” So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, “May the Lord call David’s enemies to account.” And Jonathan had David reaffirm his oath out of love for him, because he loved him as he loved himself.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭20:12-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I was always that David for you! LOL! But then crying inside. I would be the one to step on everyone’s toes or get in the worst trouble. Truly you would be the one to stand by me, cover me, pray for me and be that validation for me. No matter what! I could have killed an army and you would smile at me like, “REALLY! Chris! Really!”

You have always exemplified that Christ-like love and such the Christ-like sister and friend I always NEEDED! I would tear always at the thought of the distance, but God knew I needed Him more than anything and so that this would make me search for Him indeed!

Have I really said enough… THANK YOU’s? Or that I appreciate you? Or how about just this… I could have never known what this meant until I met you…..

Friendship isn’t a big thing, it is a million things.

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Discover life together.

Ever the best of friends.

A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I have only one brother.

This is indeed a fact, I can testify. This is you. This is us!

Love you always!!!
