BE STRONGER

imageAfter the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.
Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:1-9

I know that in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the days that taking a few minutes to read the most profound scriptures may not appear to be beneficial at that moment–but they ARE!

For the Christian, it is our lifeline, our reminder and our daily encouragement.

Am I the only one that could use that daily dosage?

“Prolly not!”

For three times God tells little Joshua – BE STRONG and of good courage!

That isn’t always easy to do you know! Truth be told for most days we feel weak, weary, tired, troubled, confused or completely depleted. That’s us! That is human nature! So our Heavenly Father, with His Supernatural Nature–already sent a means of daily dose encouragement written for us!

This is our reminder!

This is our source of strength!

Without this we will miss so much. You can’t build a thing without looking at the manual that comes along with the product. You have to give it an eye and some careful review. The diagram is in it. The explanation is there. That is what God gives to us–and why? Because He knows we are human. That strength does grow weak! So there we have our reminders… if it was important enough for God to write it with that much redundancy than it must be important for us to abide by it. In it speaks the truth we need to sustain us.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

I can boast too of the weakness! That is the only way I would get to experience the magnitude of His power, mercy and grace.

Thanks for that reminder Lord… for when I am weak, then I am STRONG!

All through YOU! ❤

“But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
