Blah Day

IMG_7409Definitely not a day at the beach, buzzing boardwalk, active bike riding or smooth sailing experience. There are no beautiful sunrises and sunsets at the doctor’s office! The blah day it is. Going to make the most of this as I wait to be seen.

Got to make the best of it, with some bible based reflections. There is a time for everything, now this forces me to rest when I have been running around rampant on our vacation days.

We come back more tired from the days we have off as we try to cram everything into the few days that we have off.

Take time to take better care of yourself.

If no one else will do it for you, make it happen for yourself.

“There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth: A right time for birth and another for death, A right time to plant and another to reap, A right time to kill and another to heal, A right time to destroy and another to construct, A right time to cry and another to laugh, A right time to lament and another to cheer, A right time to make love and another to abstain, A right time to embrace and another to part, A right time to search and another to count your losses, A right time to hold on and another to let go, A right time to rip out and another to mend, A right time to shut up and another to speak up, A right time to love and another to hate, A right time to wage war and another to make peace.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I got up, dressed for work and ready to start my day after a quick visit at the doctors office for some antibiotics. That was my plan. Then I come to see the doc doesn’t arrive until 11!

Change of plans!!!!

Call out for the day now, back home only to pass out from this infectious weariness and I’m back at the place to get x-rays and an examination. Ugh!!! God knows all things. Time for meds when we need them. I read somewhere that God wants us to be so starved for His word. Imagine what we do some days away from His presence. Infected. Fatigued. Incapacitated.

This is my time to construct, let go of my plans and mend mentally, physically & spiritually. In all this I will find my peace. My blah days are necessary to unwind from the busyness of life. As the baby bibs do say so eloquently… “Spit Happens!” 😅

There is a time for everything. The blah days do pass.
