Let Him Pick It Up

IMG_7805From a sister in Christ today… she sends us some morning inspiration that goes like this,

“For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can TRUST everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.”
Psalm 33:45

She is a representation of us. I admire her vulnerability to share. Frail humans requiring a firm God in everything. We come to a place where we see the equation and the math lines up. 2 + 2 = 4; 3 + 1 = 4; 4 + 0 = 4. All of that logistically makes sense right? Then when things don’t make sense at all, perhaps this is our place where we remove ourselves from the equation and let God be GOD!

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10

I just popped up this week from surgery. Unexpected, yes. Unnecessary, no. But all the detail, I guess I wish I had prior so that I could have put myself in a better place to prepare for all the accommodations that were going to be necessary for recovery.

I dropped the stuff to the floor. Normally I pick it up, but afterwards I knew if I bent down I would feel the pain heighten. So I thought to myself, “UH, let him pick it up.” I have to know when I just can’t anymore. Meaning that I would leave my husband to clean up after my mess. YES! LOL. Well — he has to in this time where I need him the most. When I am weak, this is where I get to experience the strength of others. Imagine how much more we must use this concept with GOD!

So I thought to write that down. When we can’t pick it up, figure it out or clean up after ourselves–let’s leave it for HIM to pick up where we are unable to! Yes, its messy. Yes, its a lot of work. But this is right where He needs to be. In all the places where we see those limitations, He can take us beyond that to the possibilities.

When we can’t — HE can!

Leave it alone! Let’s stop trying to clean up EVERYTHING ourselves. Let’s do what we can and let HIM DO WHAT HE CAN!!! Life is a process, so we have to go through it day by day as He will guide us knowingly. Especially when things don’t make sense to us, they make sense to Him. When things are too overwhelming for us, they are not for Him. When we are weak–yes, He is stronger!

Trust.

Trust.

Trust the process.

Trust that He is the one that is always in control when we yield are hearts over to Him.
