“After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.”
John 21:1-7 ESV
I not sure where you find yourself standing. A lot of times I ponder on where I am standing. Of where the people of God are standing.
Is this really a good ground for us? Stuff seems so shaky. Our lives hanging on the balance beams.
Isn’t it such good news to know and experience that Jesus is standing at the shore of your life!!!
He is. The same way Jesus was there for the disciples, is the same way He is there for us. They found themselves fruitless. Empty. With nothing, the scripture tells us. But here comes Jesus, always arriving to the nothing scenes of our lives with SOMETHING! And something profound!
Net-breaking.
Boat-sinking.
Those circumstances where He finds a great way to hold it all together for us. That is our God! Doing exceedingly abundantly and above what we think! Above our situation. Above our limitations. Above our restrictions, hindrances or any deficiencies!
He will be right there standing at the shore ready to dive full force into our situation when it seems like there is nothing coming up right…
Maybe you don’t know what to do, when or where to go, or what to say next. Wait for God, He always shows up on the scene.
Maybe we are like Peter. At once when we realize it is God moving, we throw ourselves in! Because if God is in it, no matter how deep the place, it will be like we are standing by the shore too. Just where Jesus is. ❤️
