The challenges and successes of life need to be looked at with a right perspective because both will produce the same reward — RESULTS.
We never think that challenges –adversity –trials –tribulation –pain –anguish — storms and hardships will take us anywhere. But in actuality, it does. It helps push you to move further.
Everyone has challenges! We need them! Jesus needed them… and we gain valuable insight, hindsight and foresight when we push through.
YOU! CAN! DO! IT!
WE! CAN! DO! IT!
I am in this weight loss “challenge” group and it is work to put in. I am actually gaining more weight! UGH! But I am also gaining consistency. I am my own competition. I am my own biggest challenge.
However, I looked at May compared to June in my Apple Watch Activity app and I am already passed the bar! I had only 3 complete workouts for May. Now we are only at June 10th and I’ve had 7 complete workouts so far! PROGRESS! Yay me!
Now I just tame the food as I have been doing for the month so far cutting out marshmallows, muffins and all other munchies that I just love! Pure madness! But I know I am going to see a great reward eventually.
My goal is not July. My goal is not this summer or the next. My goal is to BE CONSISTENT. That is my challenge that I know will ultimately lead to my success.
So whatever you are facing today –I hope that you go through strong and valiantly. This teaches us so many things and not just the natural things on health…but looking at the spiritual component. To condition ourselves to be consecrated and dedicated enough in our spending time with God.
For it is in the challenges of life where we will learn so much. In the challenge is where we respond to God. It is where we process and make deliberate decisions. It is the repository from which our future is shaped. We determine what our non-negotiable criteria will be!
In the book Sifting — by Wayne Cordeiro he states, “The single best thing you can do during a time of sifting is to give yourself to the process and let God’s work run its course!”
Give yourself to the process of sifting, of challenges and of transition and change!
On the other side of this will be our harvest! Keep going! Keep growing! You’re reward is there!
Stay encouraged because our challenges and successes make you an extraordinary and exceptional person. ❤
The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord,
the splendor of our God.
Isaiah 35: 1-2 NIV
With Love,
