Hope With Spiritual Shepherds

image“And I will give you [spiritual] shepherds after My own heart [in the final time], who will feed you with knowledge and understanding and judgment.”
Jeremiah‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“O Israel,” says the LORD, “if you wanted to return to me, you could. You could throw away your detestable idols and stray away no more. Then when you swear by my name, saying, ‘As surely as the LORD lives,’ you could do so with truth, justice, and righteousness. Then you would be a blessing to the nations of the world, and all people would come and praise my name.””
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The first two chapters of Jeremiah represent an appointment to the office gift of the prophet and the need to address the secular shepherds. These next two chapters speak about the redemption plan of God. When we fall, stray or miss the mark, trust that there can always be good spiritual guidance to help you move forward in a renewed life.

God has such a love for Israel. He has a love for us.

The Young One

image

Maybe it’s just another hurdle.
Another obstacle.
Another place right where there are internal challenges and opposition.
Those places, why can’t we just escape?

I’m sure Jeremiah asked that question plenty of times. The weeping prophet had so much to say. He never held it back.
You got to love Jeremiah, for there is one in us all. One that is more than familiar with those difficult places.

In the lack; insecure places.
Desolate places.
Lost and lonely places.
Problem places.
Chaotic and confusing places.

That is precisely where God calls us. Continue reading

Jeremiah Calling

imageWelcome June! We are about a half of a year in already.

Where are we with our calling?

What have we done for the kingdom?

Have we advanced up to this point?

Or have we decided to take a “sit back” on the things of God?

I am sure little Jeremiah wanted to take a seat on the ardent call he received over his life. He was a real case, with real questions and concerns.

But I am not ready…..

If God says it, then ready or not, here we go!

“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.””
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1:4-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Continue reading
