Blessings to all that are viewing this. My name is Christina Cruz-Mendez. I am a Senior Pastor at Mission United International Church in Yonkers, NY working along side my husband Juan A. Mendez Jr. Senior Pastor, currently residing in Canton, Georgia. We have been together for 29 years with 2 children that God has blessed us with. Makes us the family of four - "JusChrist4". I have been a Christian and active in ministry for about 22 years now. Through all the rocky and smooth roads in life I am eternally grateful that God has brought me this far in life to share with the world what He is doing in me, through me and for me.

Tender But Not Tainted

imageI shared a message yesterday of faith and it took all that I had to do so. This is my lifeline. So I take the words and translate them here.

It’s certainly never easy to take that leap of faith where you feel every ounce of it. I end up hating my emotions, for they vary so much as I make the move.

It is like when you take that leap of faith you get hit with a leap of fire your way too. So you live it even more. Take the plunge. We empty ourselves out…poured out like that drink offering in order to fit the call.

We are in obedience.

We empty the vessel…we empty the jar to fill up with the things of God, nothing less than that.

We become transparent. We become vulnerable. We become tender before all. Now how can we be that one who is tender but not tainted? Where we don’t have to fight off all that God delivered us from again and again.

The war is won! He took the lead! God did that. We surrender all before Him.

We live by FAITH, not by sight!
2 Corinthians 5:7

Where Does She Go Wrong?

imageHow are her thoughts?

She wakes up…

Perhaps alone, perhaps together, perhaps even with some sort of stranger. What value does she have? For if the thoughts were that she was so much more, then she would never be in a place where she went wrong.

What completes her? What competes with her? That seems to be have a strong weight over her. Moments, money, make up or maintenance. Oh the work that it takes! Where did she go wrong?

Can this ever be fixed? Can this ever be corrected or ever done the right way?

Yes! It can get better. She can because she believed that she could!

She believed in her God! Continue reading

Don’t Fret My Friend

imagePhilippians 4:6-7 from The Message says this: “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

I would be a fool not to take this word for me. I definitely have to try to dig so much more deeper than the surface message! God is telling me in many translations…
Do not fret Christina!
Do not worry Christina!
Do not be anxious Christina!
Do not be bothered Christina!
Do not get frustrated Christina!
Do not get so worked up Christina!
Take all those little worries and concerns of yours and just keep bringing it into prayer Christina!!!
Because I got this you hear me Christina I got this!!!

It’s The Principality

image
We really have to do a better job AS Christians at understanding what we are actually fighting against.

It is not the person, the job, the marriage, the kids, the money, the business…it is THE PRINCIPALITY!

We must recognize what we are fighting against.

Today—see it as it is…don’t be angry about those unchangeable things, when God can change the unchangeable. We give it to God in prayer. Thank you God! Thank you MJ! Thank you my sisters in Christ. Thank you for sending vessels my way to constantly remind me that I am fighting against demonic forces and strongholds. I can beat them! I can…if Jesus did it—so can we!

I truly love the Word of God. YES! It is always found in His word. Continue reading
