Philippians 4:6-7 from The Message says this: “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!Psalm 119:103
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
They are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.
By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:7-11
Yes–by them this servant is warned, advised, counseled and spoken to. I have to receive these words in its entirety! I cannot fret as the word declares it only causes harm (Psalm 37). And for who? That would be me. I would only be harming myself the most here. I will cause myself to lose sleep, lose peace, lose heart and feel faint! And I cannot allow that to happen.
I go to the word that gives me hope. I go to the word that sustains me. I go to the word that is going to govern my every step. This is my emphasis. Then I breathe…as the tears stream down my face driving through the night as I listen to the worship songs play… You hear me. I tell myself repeatedly…All I need is You Lord, is You Lord… that is the song that plays in my soul during all the times that there are things going on internally.
I can say this… I have an AMAZING relationship with God! He is my husband, my friend, my counselor, my redeemer, my everything!
He loves me! He reminds me… Christina, do not fret! Tell the world… Do Not Fret My Friend! God has got this.
