Back To Life

I don’t exactly know what the problem is, else call it an addiction.

Addiction: the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

What is your addiction? What is calling you back? What is constantly waging war against your soul and entire being?

So many forms when no one else sees…a force so strong…to fight EVERY single day!

How do we get back to life when we think that one thing will do it all?

It’s just one reach away. To step into a swirl of the forbidden. The thing you feel will bring the life, dull the pain and heal the wound. Continue reading

Seasons Of Change

Goodbye summer.
We will miss you.
Fall is approaching.

We are in the remains of our summer to enjoy while it lasts. With the busyness of returning from a holiday weekend as the kids are going back to school, we are savoring up all the last moments of blissful days and awesome rays! As for me, this has been an amazing summer! I got to explore beautiful places and spend a lot of quality time with family and friends.

This is how the clock works. We go from season to season and get to experience all. Same thing for the things of God. He has seasons for us as well. Continue reading

Construction

There are destinations in life where there is really only one way to get there without having to go through an off trail.

Driving down a long yet necessary trip by myself to Ohio left a lot of time to reflect. I passed through many areas that were “Under Construction” and they do not close off the road. Even so they wait for the darkest hours to get the work on the road done… And still they do not close off the road. People have to pass through. It is necessary, this is the only way to go. It can be a bit inconvenient, slow, noisy, scary and rough, but we proceed with much precaution.

There are always signs all around us with warnings ahead even before we approach the working site. As we pass through the rough road it may be at a reduced speed but the fixing needs to occur for the great big plan of an improved road. For us… there is a great big plan that He has of an improved and healthy life!

Gracious Words

You know how amazing it feels to hear a good word. It radiates your being. It puts a smile on your face. It brings you joy. It makes you feel alive and well. That is how wonderful it is to receive the Word of God. For all of it in it’s entirety is truth and it is all good [Psalm 119:160]! That is why it is so important to listen to, read, study, inhabit and meditate in the Word of God. For the words of the Lord will build you up and keep you strong.

His words are also a healing for us.
They are a light to our path.
They uplift us immediately.
