Hope Anchored In You

image“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but when desire comes, it is a tree of life.”
Proverbs 13:12

No one wants to walk in a place where there are no choices, no solutions or places of growing ground. We hope for the best and walk towards a driven God-given goal. But when there is delay, you can easily be effected. The best solution for us is to always have our hope anchored in HimContinue reading

A Must Read: RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE

imageI used to think that recovery wasn’t possible. When I messed up or had been through the worst of the worst, I always thought that it was OVER for me. We call that “rock bottom.”

Problem is–I hit rock bottom A LOT and practically daily to the point that my rock bottom became my addiction. It was a habit. A bondage. A stronghold over me. A grip so tight that it was tormenting. I had no control over my situation, so I thought! But that was and is never the case with God! He wants you to hit rock bottom  so that you can meet the Rock [Jesus] at that bottom!!! Joy Inexpressible

IMG_7301A happiness at my own expense is just not going to cut it. The happiness I must seek is one given to me by God. The joy inexpressible He speaks of that is found in God’s living word! I found it in Him. During those summer days by the ocean, as He carried me from a dark place into one of freedom, victory and new life.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith–the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:6-9

In a time of our fasting – this is certainly a great petition to put forth in our prayer time regarding the fury nations, places and people. Why has all this come upon us now, for we even fight for our faith? As each Christian stood up they were shot by a young man filled with unrestrained violence and hate toward a people of faith in the state of Oregon.

Yet another mass shooting has occurred, while many are traumatized by the effects of all this violence. How sad, how somber and what an eye-opener for us all to continue to stand in our faith and prayers!  Continue reading
