IM-POSSIBLE

img_1558In the Bible the word impossible is referenced only 9 times. Not much.  Other words are mentioned hundreds of times, such as FAITH 🙏🏼, HOPE ⚓ and LOVE 💙…

I can’t even count how many times that IMPOSSIBLE has ran through my mind. Probably reaching up to an infinite number at this point! Just being honest! That is the first natural thought that runs through, given the many trying situations!

But if God mentioned impossible a few times, we should get the drift to note “IM POSSIBLE!” The Great I AM …. it is possible with God!

Change The Paradigm

Last night we were in the sanctuary listening to the teaching from our CFO that spoke on Transformational Groups! How powerful that message was.

Most importantly we were broken up into two groups where we were able to exercise our level of understanding based on the teaching.  We were challenged to provide our own analytical thought on culture and values. Continue reading


Devoted December

img_1261December is our month even more so devoted to Him.  A lot has happened in the last 11 months that we need to end this last month heavily in our devotional time.  I know that one of the things I heavily emphasize on is the use of our time on social media.  That said, I have decided to drastically decrease the time spent on the social scene so that I can focus on the spiritual means that really matter.

That is a situation for us as Christians to really consider.  Is our social connection hindering our spiritual connection?  We are turning to social media for answers, support, venting, words of encouragement, engagement, connectivity, friendships, followers or to share any random thing.  Why not exchange that social connection for the spiritual connection we can have with God that is much more worthwhile? Stir Up The Storm

1vykqvdwxl0-gabriel-santiagoPart 2 to this matter of “Settle the Storm“. When we meant to try things to settle the storm, it actually worked to stir up the storm! When will this all let up? What if we need the storm –the constant continuation to help us get to where we need to be with God?

Then stir up that storm God until we stay put within and become so grounded during it all.

I read in a devotional, “Serenity: Meditations of Acceptance, Courage and Wisdom” by Mike Shea a few key notes taken from a series of Storm writings November 26-29 during a month that I was also enduring serious storm season! Continue reading
