Mother’s Day

imageMOTHER’S DAY 2016

What a great day that was. It was nice to be home. Church was amazing. My family was happy that I was home. My church received me well. People showered me with gifts and took me out. It was just nice for a change to be celebrated on this day. I woke up early and found this passage of Proverbs 31, as I have been meditating on all these attributes of the “power” woman! Gosh, this is a tough task to live up to. But what I do know is that all that we lack, we find that through Him. God the Father, He makes us great mommies indeed!

This is my acronym for “Mother” below. This is what I believe a mother can be.

🔹MENTOR
🔹ORIGINAL
🔹TRUSTING
🔹HUMBLE
🔹EXCELLENT
🔹RESILIENT

All of that is found here in this particular passage. Continue reading

Soon Pa… See You Soon

imageI am at the airport and finally heading home!
I am beginning to feel like myself again.
I can feel my natural thoughts coming back.
Ready to head back to my own thrown and responsibilities.
This was truly a DIE TO SELF week for me. I grew weak during the week. I did. I am not even going to lie about that.
It wasn’t easy. I never had to care for someone I love so dearly and see the violent acts of progressive cancer in full-blown operation.
This is a terminal situation, unfortunately.
Selah.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley.
I will fear NO evil, for YOU are with me;
Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

I didn’t want to reach out to anyone.
And I didn’t want them to reach out to me.
It wasn’t easy. Even though I haven’t seen an episode but through captivating commercials, my life was like an Empire episode.
I don’t even know how it happened. Continue reading

Painting “Be Still”

imageIs this too personal?
This is for Dad, so maybe it is.
I didn’t know what to do.
Truly! I went out last night and had amazing laughs! That was like medicine. God is giving me peace. The doctors advised of my dads cancer as progressive stage 4. I immediately want to RUN over there but I am so torn with many other things and trying to prioritize God Over Everything. And still I want to be there! But I also don’t want to go alone this time because, we have to do more. I woke and wrote the following at 3:48am ….

Beside a verse that states John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.”
So this tells me God will come to my situation because truly there are things beyond our control especially with timing.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO?????? Continue reading

Colors of Faith, Hope, Love

imageAnd now these three remain:
Faith, Hope and Love.
But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

We must discover that more and more in doing “SOMETHING” that it matters.

Oh! It matters! It really does. It makes a difference.

There are colors of faith, hope and of love.

New discoveries;

New things;

New life;

God is for us.

We live and we learn.

Teach us to love again.

Teach us to love more. Continue reading
