JUMP IN

I would never know what REST is like until I got to this moment and this season right now. I jumped in. I took a leap and here I am. This has been one of the greatest seasons. Very excited to see and experience what God is doing in our lives.

This is what REST looks like. When you decide to jump in and take that cannonball leap into the next place that God has for you. This place is great. This place is exciting. This place is different. This place is peaceful. It is so much more LESS aggravating.

Does that make sense? Like a lot less of the aggravating things that take place and consume you. All it took was that one jump so that you can learn to walk in a whole new light.  That is how I feel in my current position now.  I took a huge leap when the moment presented itself.  Was I afraid? YES.  Did I have reservations and doubt? YES. Did I feel like staying the same? YES.  But I knew that remaining the same was going to cause me more pain in the end.  The pain of regret.  The pain of missing out on opportunity.  The pain of complacency and stagnancy.  The pain of being in a place where internally there was a lot more frustration going on.

These are the things we just never sign up for. And I am aware that there are things that we have to choose that are worth the fight–but what is MOST worth fighting for will always bring rewards, purpose and destiny.

In Acts 3:8 the bible tells about a man that had to jump all in.
“With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.”

He took a leap then stood upright and then he began to walk.  It was that one leap that made him stand tall and lead the way for more moments of leaping that we can call VICTORIES.  That is what it will take for you and I.  Even if discouragement tries to kick in.  All the fears and doubts of the world that rise up should actually make us rise higher so that we jump in well.

2020 is bringing so many doors of opportunity for us.  Just as I had an evening to fellowship and network with some amazing people with celebrity chef Ameer Natson at “The Builders Dinner” this evening. What a great place to be in.  Not only exceptional food, but great company, positive vibes and normal people that are successful and inspiring!!! It made me want to do more.  This is why I know what resting is now.  Because I have the time to use wisely and get stuff done with all the excess weight of stress and chaos released from my primary source of livelihood.

The time is long overdue for us to continue to move forward and achieve greatness by just being simply us.  God has called us to greatness.  He has given us talents, gifts and abilities. We can soar. We can rise higher. We can do great things.  We are destined for success.  These are the things that are guaranteed for us when we jump all in and just be who we are–uniquely graced.  How amazing that is!

Had I known… I would have jumped in sooner.  #supergrateful #thebuildersdinner #networkingevent #useyourgifts

Classically Cold

I’m listening to classical music, exiting metro train platform, walking in the crisp cold, ugg boots, snug scarf and the puffy coat…. city life.

Destination = work zone.

Mindset = focused.

Attitude = grateful.

Traveling in 20 degree weather is rough but worth it when you have great elements. Part of the reset for 2020 and not sure where the rest of the journey will lead to but today I will embrace this cold day because there is so much to be thankful for. I am very excited despite the little things that try to rise up. I am focused.

Starting writing out my vows for renewal, checked off a lot on the to do list and take each day –one at a time to get stuff done. I feel excited and productive. I am in great expectation for celebrating good things. Even as I began to write up some vows, I didn’t do this the first time round… but I teared up in the train.

Dag we been thru some stuff! We can laugh, we can cry, we can celebrate, we can unite. We can rejoice in the good.

Remember to be an encourager when the world can seem cold. Bring the warm smiles, friendly gestures, helpful hand and positive vibes to your environment. It’s not the masses so to speak –but just the one life we can touch who can touch the next. Today be that warmth in someone else’s cold.

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

New Year, New Decade, New Logo

Hey everyone! God bless you and I hope that you are making your cannonball entrance to 2020 in such a powerful way. I would like to share with you an afternoon scripture and some encouragement along the way as I bring to you some great and exciting news for twenty twenty!

Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe.
Be mighty and full of courage.
1 Corinthians 16:13

I am excited to share with you the new branding for JusChrist4 which first launched in 2015. I took a risk, made a move and here we are in the 5th year with a new look, new mindset and kingdom unction to RISE HIGHER! Join me as we celebrate 5 years of uncompromising, unwavering and unapologetic writing! Shared with the WORLD! Design credits were done by my big brother and graphic artist Christopher Cruz (US Coast Guard). Here’s to rising HIGHER in 2020!

R I S E H I G H E R

In the NKJV of the scripture it says to stand firm in the faith –be courageous and to be strong. In order to accomplish great things you have to have great courage and strength and take GREAT risks. I used to do things just for me. Write for me rather than write for the women that I know can relate with me. Now I write for the world –to fulfill a calling. I write as a warrior. A woman that has been through battles. That is still fighting the good faith to continue to grow and step out. That takes a lot.

Where I was in 2015 is not where I am at now. Two different places…two different perspectives. Where I would hold onto things so much will now be me today letting go and keeping with the moment. There is just so much more to accomplish and take territory of with so little time. Why wait? Just go –sow and grow. It is time to step ahead and do what God is calling us to do on the greatest and deepest dimensions possible.

So where are you today and what have you done to make a huge difference for you and for the life of others. Even if it touches one life –you are making an impact. So here is to 5 years of investing time, effort, energy, experience, perspective and raw thoughts. If God gives it, God will lead it through. We have been renewed, restored and rebuilt. We have risen above. Now it’s time to rise even higher because OH YES — WE CAN.

Mediocrity says “I did my best”
but Legendary says “I will do BETTER”

Let’s rise higher in 2020, achieve great exploits and take more territory. There is so much ground to cover. So we need to do that together. Let’s get started!

Second Sunday in January

We have reached the second Sunday in January of 2020. To many –we are already making our way right in the new decade. To others (like my family) it is a reminder of what happened in just the second Sunday of 2019.

What I would like to do is celebrate a life.

Rose Marie Soto! It has been 365 days since you are gone but I want the world to know what a vibrant life looks like. I am going to share wonderful pictures and memories that made us —US! We argued, we laughed, we cried, we fought, we sang, we danced, we walked, we swam, we traveled, we cooked, we ate, we drank, we painted, we played, we worshiped, we wrote, we read, we sat, we hugged, we loved, we’re cuzins!

I will never forget your laugh. Never forget the way that you were. I will be thankful that the time that I had we did what we could. It was ours. It was a gift. ❤

What else can I say but not just the second Sunday in January but every day since…

I miss you more.
