I Have A Partner

partnership-woesI have a partner! Isn’t that amazing.  I am not alone. A lie keeps repeating in my head that I have to cancel out so often and remind myself that I have a permanent partner in life that is never going to leave me or forsake me. We are in this together. God has tremendous plans for us.
1 Peter 5:10, “After Your Season of Suffering, God in all His grace will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you”.

I am thinking about this “new” concept called HOPE. For some time I really lost that. I lost my hope, my love, my passion, my zest and zeal for life. Restoration sounded impossible. Then I kept going despite all the ill feelings I had. Despite all the work it was taking me to salvage up any life that may have been left. But God was right about one thing mainly (as He is always correct)… He wanted to remind me that I didn’t have to look anymore…that I didn’t have to search…that I didn’t have to try so hard but that it was truly a time for REST in my life! I just needed the right partner. Hope For A Tree

hope“At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant. But a man dies and is laid low; he breathes his last and is no more. As the water of a lake dries up or a riverbed becomes parched and dry, so he lies down and does not rise; till the heavens are no more, people will not awake or be roused from their sleep. If only you would hide me in the grave and conceal me till your anger has passed! If only you would set me a time and then remember me! If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come.” Job 14:7-14 Continue reading

Don’t Quit Now

imageStill pondering on the comment, “I don’t care if I lose four out of five fights, I just know the fire is going to come down!” Spoken by a professional fighter from Blackzilians UFC team.  There is so much more to continue from the first writing on, “Win Some and Lose Some.”

How do we speak as Christians during heavy trials? Or just during life itself? Do we speak faith? Do we continue with the same fervor and tenacity?  Hebrew 6:15 says, “so after he (Abraham) had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”  You might think, “What promise?” The promise of blessing and abundant living. Let us think about this. To be honest waiting can be extremely difficult in the midst of a mess. Nobody likes to wait. It is uncomfortable, frustrating, painful at times, unsettling and even disturbing.  But we have to wait [to remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens]. The problems is that as we wait, we try to do incorrect things in the interim to ease the feeling of being uncomfortable. To some that could be quite drastic and harmful to our lives. We must be careful.  It takes tremendous strength to wait.  But rest assured that as we wait we actually learn to do the correct things in life in order to obtain the best things that God has for us.
