Overcoming Strongholds

I wish that I could tell you that it was going to be very easy. That your process of renewal and healing would happen overnight or in a synch! But that is not actually the case. It is not easy to bounce back from a place that has caused severe wounds such as breaking ungodly soul ties, overcoming a divorce, the loss of a loved one in any capacity, overcoming sickness, and abandonment, betrayal, breaking barriers of addiction, depression, co-dependencies, or any other experiences that have taken up deep places in your soul.
Unfortunately the process of healing is actually long, stressful and sometimes very painful. I could tell you what everyone wants to hear that you will experience a rebirth and a point of peace that you never thought would be possible. Through God certainly you will overcome. It just takes time, a whole lot of God and everything to get to the point of a steady journey on your way to health and wholeness. It takes prayer, fasting, study of the word, worship, consistent church attendance, fellowship, friendships, counseling, listening to godly and spirit filled music, sermons, hobbies, work, travel, exercise and so many other rich and positive avenues that will take you to a higher place and stronger walk with God. Whatever it takes for you just understand that most probably it will be unique for you. Every case is different. Some people don’t require all that and they have strong coping mechanisms but others that have passed through heavy storms will definitely need a lot of help and encouragement along the way. This message is geared to go to the one that is struggling, to the one that is asking for MORE help, to the one who keeps questioning their process, to the one who is uncertain and to the one that can’t find that point of peace yet. God is it for sure and in every way but you will need to use all the tools that He has given you in life to accomplish that as well and many people are not aware of all those things. Just know that it is YOUR process. You do not need to explain that to everyone because not everyone is going to understand YOUR process. Just know that whatever you got to do to get to a place of healing and wholeness has got to be done regardless of the opinions of others and thoughts of man. At this point in your life, it is about pleasing God and getting to a place where you are stronger and able to stand valiantly.

The bible declares in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 NKJV “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
The first question that runs through the natural mind during or after a tremendous trial is “How?”
How can I overcome? How long do I have to go through this? When is it going to end? How can I erase the thoughts? How can I get passed the memory? Don’t you wish it was that easy to take a huge eraser and start smearing everything away…even then there is still a rubbed mark left behind! There is always some residue left behind from any type of storm. Now show me God, teach me and guide me on what to do with this residue that is here. Those things are the natural piece caused by life’s consequences and choices. Take me to the place of the supernatural where I can fully overcome what is lingering here in the natural. I heard this weekend “How do you kill a shadow? You shine a little light on it!” Let us shine the Light of God over our circumstance this day and every day forth!
