Giving THANKS!!!

How these are all so intertwined for me…. When the pastor said on Tuesday, “What are you thankful for?” I quickly jotted those down in my journal.

God did begin a HUGE, RAPID & yes violent work in me. I saw it, lived it, crushed through it and adjusting right into the place God has for me.

What are you thankful for?Really…
Do you see an evident change?
Something shift?
Has it been a difficult year?
Yes, but coupled with the blessing.
It’s not so easy every time.
Some days are super cheerful, others are less. Some days are tearful, other days there’s laughter. Some days are exciting and other days are so stinking BLAH! But we do it, we get through it and we keep pressing ahead!

What can I give thanks for? For me, first the internal. My relationship with God was seriously renewed! And deeply, intensely and intimately. I could honestly grasp that He didn’t just want me to have this common relationship with Him but an UNCOMMON one. Because God is relational. Beyond moving and building relationships… But intimate ones! Powerful ones!  Authentic ones! ETERNAL ones!

Imagine how people walk through this earth thinking they “know” God but He says, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.”

See just like in life we have MANY relationships and acquaintances… But of how many is there intimacy? Trust? Beneficial commonalities?
Not many…This is how it is with God! He doesn’t just want a relationship with you but an intimate relationship is what He seeks after. That is why He says, “Seek My face. Draw near and I will draw near…”

“For what you put in I WILL return,” says God!

It’s not the same as when people fall short, fail to meet expectations or cause discomfort and disappointment. God is NOTHING like that! You WILL get back more than what you could have ever thought of! It’s overwhelming… It’s lovely! It’s amazing! Its real!

Wow, these three He has built up in me, and doing the same for you EVERYTIME! Never falling short!!! His word and His love for us is infallible… That’s plenty to be thankful for.
Then comes the ricochet effect, for what He does in you eventually becomes so apparent! You’re glowing, and all can see it as the psalmist declares that He will radiate upon the faces of His people!

“They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A heart work is beautiful! Tough love we call it… Always for what’s BEST! That He did! Chiseled away at the depth of my heart, cut so deep I thought I was beyond healing!!!
There came faith!

Deeper the cut, the deeper He wants to fill.

Family first, was a concept and care that He wanted me to revisit, revive & rebuild! SACRIFICE, EMBRACE and watch God do the rest. There came the trust and a new found hope!

Church! What a concept right!?! A responsibility! A mandate! A huge calling that was once forgotten…. I PROMISED with all my soul and restored bones that I would pay the price! No matter what! There came love… acceptance, encouragement and tightly knit together relationships with others. He said it… ALL THINGS NEW…

I am smiling a whole lot more again and it’s really sweet. God did that.

Enough about me, what about you?

So much to give thanks on this day and every day forth, when the new work has begun.

I share with HIM this day, my thanksgiving!

I share with you this day, thanksgiving!

I am giving thanks on Thanksgiving Day!!

Have a MOST BLESSED holiday with your family and friends. Enjoy this day building new memories. Make it count for you and for others.
