Blessings to all that are viewing this. My name is Christina Cruz-Mendez. I am a Senior Pastor at Mission United International Church in Yonkers, NY working along side my husband Juan A. Mendez Jr. Senior Pastor, currently residing in Canton, Georgia. We have been together for 29 years with 2 children that God has blessed us with. Makes us the family of four - "JusChrist4". I have been a Christian and active in ministry for about 22 years now. Through all the rocky and smooth roads in life I am eternally grateful that God has brought me this far in life to share with the world what He is doing in me, through me and for me.

Only Him

heart2godThere is a space that really only goes for Him. No one else can see it or nothing else can fill it. I spoke with a counselor friend and shared some journal entry I wrote in comparison to what I have written for the world to see on this blog site. He said to me those are deep words. I said, “Well this is how I feel some days. This is me.”

I think perhaps I am not sharing all. Does that mean what I do share is not entirely truthful. It is. There are just some pages left in my journal that will only belong to God. That is the intimate piece. I share a lot of things…truth, experience, values, perspective and words that have inspired my life. But there are some pages that will always be hidden and only visible to the One who created me. Continue reading

Put the Words of God in Your Heart

TruthI think this happens to us all. The words or actions of people start to penetrate our soul. They start to penetrate our being and our inner peace! Maybe a “friend” is telling you something that someone else said about you, a person saying something against a dream you have or plans, perhaps a boss breathing down your neck and it starts to aggravate you or just hearing something negative that just throws off your whole day. I started to hear some, “Can I just share something with you….” And it immediately started to disturb me. Then I said to myself, “Let the words of God edify you! Put the words of God in your heart!” and I began to feel better. I quickly shifted the conversation to gently let the person recognize that their own words were not edifying me. We have the power to CANCEL OUR CONVERSATIONS!!! Everyone has an opinion, a word, or something they want to say but if it has no truth, if it is unnecessary or unkind – DON’T LISTEN! Don’t accept that and keep it moving. Continue reading

Forty Rocks!

FORTY ROCKS

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the ROCK. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it was founded on the ROCK. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

Family First

Fam First! A Christ Centered Home [Notes by M. Rivera & C. Cruz-Mendez]

Family is important to God, it is important for the Kingdom of God, and it is important for all of God’s purposes.

God has always wanted to use the family, so He instituted in his perfect plan, even before establishing the Church. However, the family has been deteriorating day by day.

This situation is extremely serious. The family is the nucleus [a central part about which other parts are grouped or gathered; core] of society, and if society is not made up of strong families, society cannot be stable and will encounter serious problems. The problem of the family is not only incumbent upon the government and society, but a situation that directly affects the church. God instituted the family to be the model and example for the Church and for society. Churches and strong families form strong partnerships. Family’s united and cohesive societies are churches, etc.  Continue reading
